Unresolved Plotlines

Hi everybody, I'm new at posting here but I've been reading the board for months. I was trying to think of something interesting to begin posting with and it occurred to me that, along with seeing the original cast return, everybody wants to see all the old plot threads resolved. So I thought I'd list all the unresolved plotlines I could think of and then everybody could post any I've missed as well as which ones they thought were most important and how they would like to see them resolved. What do you think ? Here goes ;

1.The Kromagg War: seems it will be resolved next season, if we ever see it
2.Wade's ultimate fate: again, they are supposed to do something with this next year
3.Arturo: which one was left behind in PTSS and will we ever see him again ?
4.The FBI investigating the sliders: although, this seems kind of moot if Earth-Prime was conquered by the Kromaggs
5.Smarter Quinn/Kromagg Inconsitencies: did he give the maggs the sliding equation ?
6.Logan St. Clair: what happened to her ?
7.Bennish and other recurring characters: Ross J. Kelley, Pavel, ect;
8.Lost Sliders: the couple from "Love Gods", the girl from "El Sid", at least a explanation about why they stayed wherever they stayed. Believe it or not, I've always wanted to see what happened to Ryan
9.Arturo's son: briefly mentioned in "Into the Mystic", it would have been nice to see him. maybe he should have been used as one of the new characters instead of new ones being developed from scratch

Have I missed any ? Sorry I'm so long winded, like I said, I'm new here. You all seem to be a good group of people and I'm looking forward to reading what everybody thinks. Until next time ...

Welcome!

and you don't have to worry about what to say...I say nonsense most of the time and everyone is still really nice to me.

That list is about right. But my memory is shot (if you've been reading the board, you'd know that too)I'd love to see more of Logan St. Claire, but it looks like the writers are so pleased with themselves over the whole KroMagg concept that we'll never get any of these ends tied up.....sigh...

welcome again

Why was the Egyptian timer counting backwards on its own world?

Welcome to posting.

Welcome aboard. Just a comment to your last comment about bringing back old characters. They seem to have enough problems writing for the main character as it is. They are changing the personalities of them right before our eyes, I can't imagine them having to try and bring in an old character. They may actually have to read one of the old story lines or somthing. I really don't think they do this. Anyway, I'll step down from my box now. Again, Welcome!

I didn't see the first couple of seasons so I can't say for sure
if you missed anything but your list covers some things I know a
lot of other people would also like cleared up. Personally, the
ones I'm most anxious to have wrapped up are your points number
2 and 1, in that order. And you're right, rumor has it that they
will be resolved next season, I just hope it's done in a way we
all can live with!

Anyway, welcome and I'll see you around the board!

ok now, that's an interesting question alan, and with an interesting question comes an interesting answer... Now, i see it in two scenarios, the first is that the guy who owned the timer (the pyramid designer) didn't have that much knowledge of sliding technology, and only knew how to get his timer to open a vortex when it was at it's strongest point, the other thing that i could think of is that the guy was from a different world, or atleast was coming from a different world, and that's how much time he had left till the vortex opened...

After reading Alan H's post..

It made me think of the cliffhanger where their timer was counting UP, was that ever explained?

You will find everyone here very nice. And, we would all love to see some finalization on those plot lines. I would love to know which Arturo they took. (I also wish JRD would return. I know, fat chance). And, a conclusion for Wade. (They need to make the fans happy on this one). My understanding is they are supposed to wrap up the Kromagg thing in the new season.
Again, welcome, and have fun!

There have been two episodes where the timer counted up: 1. the recent Virtual Slide, where in Maggie's virtual world they had missed the slide, and 2. in "As Time Goes By" on that world where time's arrow ran the opposite way. For some reason, the timer followed the laws of that universe, while the sliders stayed pretty much within the normal flow of time. Anyway, the timer counted up and they were "compelled to slide" shortly after Daelin Richards was shot. Hope this answers your question about the timer counting up.
