As a lone tumbleweed crosses the desert, cue Ennio Morricone score...

A lot of Sliders episodes are named after pop culture. This one takes its title from the Clint Eastwood spaghetti western, "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly". It's OK as far as titles go, though it's not exactly spot on.

Rather than name the episode after a movie title, I think the producers would have been better served had they gone with a song title. It's high time Sliders pay homage to the Boss, and rename this ep:

Murder Incorporated

P.S. Obscure sidenote- Murder Incorporated got me thinking about the old kids show Kids Incorporated. Only Disney could come up with such a horrible notion as incorporating children.

"Sliders: Way of the Gun"

RECALL317: HEY!

JERRY O'CONNELL: I would have named this episode after my role in the series: "Lone Star."

KEITH DAMRON: Um, I didn't pay much attention to the first couple seasons. Was that the one about all the different kinds of steak?

DAVID PECKINPAH: "Slild Slild Slest."

BLINKER: Personally, I love the German title: "Duel on Wall Street." So rather than try to top it, I'll telegraph a plot twist with "The Man Who Shot Jed Dalton."

SYNTHIA: Is there any Western this episode *didn't* pay homage to?

First: Bruce Springsteen did bit coin the phrase "Murder Incorporated". The title was first made popular by a 1960s movie about organized crime that starred Peter Falk.

That's why "Murder Inc." would be a bad title, because it make people think of mobsters.

How about "Hired Guns" since this episode was obviously inspired by the metaphor of slick corporate attorneys being like gunslingers.
