Who's the man who can see the future and drives a badass PT Cruiser?

Shaft!

You damn right.

Obsession, one of the few episodes where Wade has something to do, is so intricately plotted that changing anything could throw the entire episode out of kilter. So start changing things!

Josef Anderson: I just don't think it's derivative enough of Romeo and Juliet. I'd have made Remmy's nurse friend into a drag queen named Marycutio, had everyone speaking Shaespearean--including our sliders, and blown up lots of gas stations.

FOX executive: Now we're talking!

I would alter it so that no matter what Quinn, Remmy and Arturo tried, they would be unsuccessful in getting Wade away from Derek.

Casting!

Sure it was great to see Isaac Hayes as the Prime Oracle, but if they really wanted to get an Isaac into Sliders, they should have cast Ted Lange.

BT knows that it still smells sweet unless it's dead.

Fox Network Executive: This was supposed to be Romeo and Juliet! Where's the sword fighting and the deaths! There wasn't any! Get someone in there that can fix this show up! Get me Peck!

Sad that no one showed up to cap this episode with me

...BT's Obsession!

..."Poltergeist: The Legacy."

Wade's creep lover should have been able to control her even after she slides to the next world. And why no obligatory "Rockfish" comment? With Isaac Hayes, the 1970s singer turned actor who was great as an ex-con client of Jim Rockford in the "The Rockford Files" appearing, this was a golden opportunity that was sorely wasted.

Fortunately I only caught a few minutes of this before I was interrupted by a phone call. ;-)

Can you dig it?

Who else could play the Prime Oracle?

Let's ask our panel of experts. But not Beginning Text.

BLINKER: If it's gotta be a music industry great, why not Dick Clark? No, wait, his death would stretch credulity even for a parallel world. Never mind.

SYNTHIA: John Edward. "Okay, I'm getting the letter W here. Derek, do you know anyone whose name starts with W? Maybe first *and* last? No? You have a thing for presidents, maybe? It's a really strong W. I'm also seeing... something about goldfish?"

BLINKER: Roy Dotrice! He can *never* play too many Sliders characters! Besides, this one would have actually set up "The Seer" perfectly rather than cutting against it like "Data World."

SYNTHIA: Tony Shalhoub IN "Obsession Compulsion."

BLINKER: Neil Dickson. "You see, my *dear* child... by this time tomorrow, I'll have a brain that you could squeeze a COFFEEMAKER through!"

RECALL317: Okay, I think you two have had enough.

Let's see Patrick Stuart (Derek) was best known for two roles: Kid Genius in the under-rated GALACTICA 1980. (Hey I like it was much better that crappy remake GALACTICA: ABOVE & BEYOND or whatever.)

As a grown man he appeared on ALL MY CHILDREN as Will Cordtlandt, a character they built a major murder mystery around.

So we would could have this sceene where Derek breaks down and complains about the stress of being a child genius trying to save humanity.

OR

We can have "Who will kill Derek" with the sliders dodging preventative arrest to prove they've been set up as Derek's killers.

BTW, speaking of the other Patick Stewart. Why didn't the PTB at Slider's just say that Rickman went to a British Boarding School. I mean if Jean-Luc Picard is actually supposed to be French anything is possible.
