Yeah, you know the drill: change something about "Asylum"...

BLINKER: If there's any truth to the rumour that the British angle was written in so that JRD could play the MI-5 agent, I want him changed to a Zimbabwean STAT! to avoid ANY chance of Maggie and Arturo going out on a *date.* I mean... blorf!

...optionally from the POV of the cast or crew:

SYNTHIA: [waving MSZ sock puppet] You know, this skydiving idea isn't very realistic. Why can't they all huddle together, open the gate *inside* the plane, and get sucked in? [waving Bill Dial sock puppet] Oh yeah? Just for that, wait'll you see how I end your precious season finale! [both sock puppets start growling at, biting, and wrestling each other]

And... so forth.

BT do you know the agony of the defeat?

... won't hurt you o/`

Peck puppet: Increase the NAN, Jerry. Less lines, the better.

JOC puppet: That wasn't NAN. I was really sleeping. The party last night was awesome.

SMG puppet: Hey did you see me on the Simpsons?

JOC puppet: Sarah, that was only your voice on there!

SMG puppet: At least they didn't use a body double like on 'Angel'!

Peck puppet: Hey Sarah, care to make a guest appearance?

SMG puppet: Sure I'm the vampire slayer. Make Quinn a vampire. He deserves a stake in that non beating heart.

JOC puppet: HEY! That's how Quinn's being written.

Peck puppet: I let bong using monkeys write the episodes.

Beginning Text must be used as footwear.

Sadly, I'm a non-sock, but I do offer this possible change for "Asylum": make the Kromagg traitors be named Callaghans instead of Thatchers. It's more sinister sounding and avoids confusion with roofers and birds.

Although at least Bill Dial didn't call them Majors. Now that would've been confusing.

Bill Dial: I briefly considered Blairs. Then I thought, "Nah. Too 'Facts of Life'."

I'd include Quinn

I just didn't like having Quinn laid up for the entire episode. Sure, it made sense it be him, but still.

Jerry: It's hard directing and starring in the same episode. I mean, have you seen Stoker? No way I was repeating that fiasco again.

In Defense of Grace Venable

From: PhantomDennis

It might have been good for one of the Sliders to point out that on every other Kromagg World is overrun with Kromaggs and they haven't left. Perhaps the Thatchers did save that world.

I'd also might mention this quote:

"In the desperate circumstances of the time, it was excusable to be angry at what Wodehouse did, but to go on denouncing him three or four years later -- and more, to let an impression remain that he acted with conscious treachery -- is not excusable. Few things in this war have been more morally disgusting than the present hunt after traitors and Quislings. At best it is largely the punishment of the guilty by the guilty. In France, all kinds of petty rats -- police officials, penny-a-lining journalists, women who have slept with German soldiers -- are hunted down while almost without exception the big rats escape." - "In Defense of P. G. Wodehouse"

It seems to be that Grace Venable/Helen Donovan is a lot closer to P. G. Wodehouse, than Joseph Mengele

Webster

Beginning text must end!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as the appearances of Malcom Jamal Warner in "My Brother's Keeper" and Corey Feldman in "Electric Twister Acid Test" enhanced the series as a whole, clearly this episode needed a washed up child star to give it that final finishing touch. Who better than Emmanuel Lewis? I hear Webster has his own university now, so if he wasn't available, I'd shoot for Gary Coleman..... Come to think of it, I wonder what Todd Bridges is up to.

Sockastic remarks

I'm drowning in BT! I mean, footwear.

Why does MI5 have planes sitting around *Vancouver*? Couldn't Ralph's team just co-ordinate efforts with the Canadian Intelligence Agency?

I mean, uh... CSIS?
