=====

BLINKER: Good Thing -- That shot of the vortex at the end when Arturo activates the timer. Not only did it mark the return of the emitter beam effect, but it's one of the very few occasions in Sliders when a moving camera... or pan-and-scan cheat, anyway... is used for a vortex shot. Bad Thing -- The Mighty Morphin Texas Rangers. All present who could stomach Chuck Norris in spandex, say 'aye' so we can put you out of your misery!

SYNTHIA: Personally, I really liked how the writers ensured that Quinn *didn't* murder the man at the beginning, *didn't* have any sort of gunslinging ability after all, yet *did* manage to resolve the whole situation through inspired rhetoric rather than violence. If "Way Out West" was so intent on ripping this one off, they could have at least kept the *message* intact.

BLINKER: Awwwwww... but that wouldn't have been as funny!

SYNTHIA: Har har. My Bad Thing is that Quinn is apparently as careless when it comes to weapons as he is with everything else. The timer, his pistol, his best friend, his emotions, his presence on the physical plane... is there ANYthing this guy can keep a handle on?

My good thing is that Billy "The Kid" Gates joke... wait, they cut that out.

Then, my good thing... uh... a good thing was... I was amused by the mildly psychotic child.

Bad thing? Well, the episode wasn't nearly as entertaining as "Way Out West" was on basically all levels, and how about that final speech? Pass the ham and cheese, Jerry.

Good Thing-A world run by my home state of Texas!!!!

Bad Thing-The Texas Stereotypes... Ugh...

Wealthy Thing-Isn't it weird that Quinn is good at EVERYTHING he tries for the first time????

Vigeant walks out onto the newsdesk of love.

Vigeant: Oh hi everyone welcome to the newsdesk of love, for all you people who haven't been watching the other Sliders board's version of TWIW lemme introduce, Crow T Echos,

Crow: Hey.

V: Tom Sabre

Tom: Yo.

V: And everyone's favorite Quixy.

Quixy: Awwww..

C: No I'm everyone's favorite.

Q: NO!

V: Alright no need to argue.. lets just see what the mads are doing...

*Planet Bob*

Dr Blinkster: Oh, hi Vig, hi tinkey twinkle toys.

*NOF*

V: Tinker Toys?

*Planet Bob*

B: Sure whatever. Vig, you know the Classic Ram Chips and Dip from the MST board. Me and S will go second.

*NOF*

V: Sure, whatever. So guys what did you think of the episode?

T: Well, I personally think it didn't have enough old west action. Give me that other west episode anyday.

V: Wow.

T: The good thing? Well, I like intrigue and stuff and I am sure this episode had alot of that.

V: Yea..

C: Oh my turn? Good. The good thing? I really liked that final scene and stuff. The Bad Thing everything else basically.

V: It wasn't THAT BAD!

C: Oh yes it was. The pain just kept coming.

V: It wasn't say, Slither, was it?

C: No.

V: Hmph. Quixy do you have anything to say?

Q: No, I didn't watch.

V: Oh, well okay then. I missed the episode I was washing the windows.

C: Oh...

T: Wait a second.

V: Hold on, Tom and Jerry are calling.

*Planet Bob*

Dr Blinkster: Well, I was out working on my evil plans and stuff but while then, I made an invention..

S: It's the...

B: Shut up you, it's not your invention.

S: But...

B: Hey, I know how to use the First Wave button.

S: Okay.

B: I made something specifically for this 'Blinker' character. A Two Piece Jumpsuit. Or jumpsuit looking thing. It's just got pants, so there!

S: The good thing was that it had Kquinn and Colllin.

B: No it didn't.

S: Oh yea. The good thing was that it was about Sliders, and it kept the story going. The Bad Thing was, I forgot to watch it.

B: Well, until next time my little guinea pigs. Good night, or good morning if you are in England or something.. Push the button S.

S: Okay, but this---

So it kinda sucked, it was a long time since I saw the episode and I am too lazy to walk over to the tv. :-P

Gooshie breath in a can to get rid of those undesirables who come to your door. Now I need one for the telephone.

Good Thing: JOC makes good use of his bar hopping experience. Was he acting drunk or was he really drunk? Can't tell the difference.

Bad Thing: I knew it! Quinn can't shoot straight because he needs those damn glasses he left at home.

dellyone

P.S. I liked seeing Karen Witter aka Tina Roberts again. Damn woman go back to 'One Life To Live' and bring back Cordero with you.

lol! *Ahem* Alright, to the point this time...

Good thing- Guns! Guns! Guns! Nah, kidding. Um, I liked Billy Ray. He was a nifty character, IMO.

Indifferent thing- The Professor's western accented line. That was scarey and sort of funny at the same time.

Bad thing- There were no lassos! I wanted to see one...because...I don't know why, but I did!

The good doctor

Oooo, Texas Chili! :-P~~~

They know how to make it down there! :-D

Good Thing: NO singing Kari! Whew!

Bad thing: Big, bad gangsters being pysched out by unbig, unbad Quinn. The boy is a genius! But you can't have everything and what he doesn't have is any ability to scare normal men. In fact, I wager that Elton John is not scared of Quinn.

Ugly thing: Seeing how Quinn reacted to thinking he had killed someone (in self defense no less!) which is as big a contrast to future eps as buck teeth contrasts with Cat of Red Dwarf.

The good, the bad.

The good: Rembrandt winning at poker vs. all those high rollers ("Don't even touch the Blue Chips").
Also, the classic line about how always staying in the same hotel "kind of defeats the purpose of stealing towels."

The bad: Once again, Quinn gives a single speech that convinces an entire society that their way of life is wrong and this freak from a wormhole has all the answers. "Can't we all just get along?" Oh, wait. Wrong freak. Sorry.

The ugly: Several of these replies appear to endorse "Way Out West" as a superior episode. Now that's just plain wrong.

...namely 'All the President's Men'! (OK, OK, so it's an all-presidents Good Thing, Bad Thing! Ya happy?)

Good Thing: George Bush was re-elected here! It's nice to see SOME parallel world appreciates his talents. (Aside: Why would they pick somebody from Connecticut? Wouldn't they have laws that say you had to have been born there? Or did Texas absorb Connecticut, too? Aw, smeg it.)

Not-so-Good Thing: LBJ was also president here. Though it would be of interest to see what kind of Southeast Asian war he got Texas in.

Bad Thing: Wade's scared just because Quinn knows who Sam Houston is from a photograph??? Just because SHE thought Sam Houston was the guy who founded Wal-Mart, doesn't mean everybody learned American history from reading "Cosmo"!!!

Yeah, you can't rid yourself of the all mighty sliderules person thingy guy!

Good Thing: Rembrandt finally shows the world he can kick rear end at cards.

Bad Thing: This episoed felt like it had around three seconds of Wade and Arturo on screen, with the other seconds divided between Remy and The Mighty Quintar.

sliderules

And now, a Peckinpah moment:

WADE: "Wow! Those Mighty Morphin Texas Rangers sure know how to whip their guns out!"

Poker Face Remmy

From: MTwain

Good Thing: I liked Remmy playing cards

Bad thing: Quinn being so pathetic when he thought he killed the guy in the beginning. Jeeez these people were supposed to listen to him like he's the Amazing Wizzo at the end? ARGH!

So this is burried .... Don't care ... I'm responding anyways :-)

Web Design Class ... yeah .. what about it? I'm multi-talented ;-) ... I'm listening ;-)
