POLL: Which Season's Remmy is your fav.?

From: sliderules

I've been wondering this for a while, so now I'm gonna ask it:

Which season's Remmy do you like the best?

I would say Season 2 Remmy is my favorite. This was where his character went through some major changes and he began to become used to sliding. Once he dropped his defenses, you saw he was a nice guy underneath the rough exterior he expressed in Season 1. I'm thinking I'm not the only the only one who believes this, so express your thoughts on the subject here. Peace.

Season 4 & 5

After he was tortured in the Kromagg camps, he got serious and fully dimentional. Earlier he was just comic relief. Afterwards, he became a leader.

Remmy became like a father figure in the last season... he wasn't complaining anymore and acted very wise and understanding - unlike the Season 1 Remmy.

My least favorite was Season 3's Remmy. There were a couple of funny episodes he was in during that season (such as Remmy's involvment in 'Double Cross'), but he just wasn't the same during Season 3. (especially after Torme left... and then it got worse after John Rhys-Davies left)

I would also have to say season 2. In season 3, they really started to rip his character apart.

I've gotta go with Season 2

In S1 he was too one dimensional (the character, not the actor), only there for comic relief.

S2 he was really the everyday guy that put things into perspective. The character had depth, and fit into the original foursome very well.

S3, well, with all the hokey stunts the writers pulled that season, this couldn't be the best season. S4 was equally poorly done.

In S5 Remmy had to be the leader, as the only remaining original slider. I can see how some would like this character best, but the character of Rembrandt Brown was never intended for this. He lost that quality of the everyday guy being dragged along on a ride he never intended to take.

My favorite Remmy is the Remmy in season two. I like Remmy in season 1 also, but not as much. But I didn't like Remmy being more of a leader in season 5 .

Remmy was funny as in Season 1, as the comic relief, but he wasn't afraid of everything like in the first season.

Season 3-5 Remmy began to shift into the hero role. While I didn't hate this Remmy, I liked the other more. Cleavant said that he didn't care for the abrupt change in that interview on EP.com

I have to agree all the way about the season 2 Remmy. Once he figured that he might be doing this for a while, then he kinda opened up and was a pretty cool guy. However, season 1 was the funniest, him always getting into trouble and stuff. And the court thing with Judge Wapner! LOL!

S5 & S2 Remmy

For all the reasons stated above.

S1 Remmy was just pretty much a clown. Cleavant even told TV Guide in a 1995 interview that he felt that he overplayed S1 Remmy too much.

Season 2!!

Tough One: I'll say 5

What I liked about S5's Remmy was not only was he a father figure towards the entire group(more emphasis on DD and Mallory though) He also knew how to lighten up and be funny again like S1. Best Example of this is in "A Thousand Deaths" Rembrandt is funny in that Ep. And I don't mean just for one line or so, the whole Shaft spoof was hillarious. So he retains that goofiness that I loved from S1 and he now is also a much more developed character(albeit the plots that developed him were stupid. ex. His new wise Millitary background and the brain washing by the Maggs made for some of Sliders lowest moments)
So he's goofy and has a new found wiseness-I like it.
He's now so much more than the stereo typical comic-relief character.

any Fox season,

if I had to pick one, season two... there was a lot less of him blaming and hating Quinn lol... he lost a lot of personality from all the post-Kromagg stress in my opinion.
