The lower post number

I went back to page one, and the first post is there. I'm wondering where the rift is (i.e. which posts are missing). They may have gotten rid of all the trash posts from the past (you know what I mean), and that alone would decrease the number of posts dramatically. Does anyone know? Why the lower number?

Dominion Policy

It is the policy of the Dominion to periodically remove certain older posts from the boards. They refer to this process as archiving, and point out that if a member wishes to have any posts restored after archiving, it can be requested from the administrators. The criterion for archiving targets all articles that have not received any replies within the last five months of the archiving date, along with the replies to those articles. One way to preserve an article that you are fond of is to post a new reply once every five months. As a result of the archiving, all posts are renumbered, but their URLs remain the same.
