GOODBYE SLIDERS, YOU HAVE GIVEN US GREAT TIMES.

THEY CALLED IT SLIDING. A NAME CHARMING IN IT'S SIMPLICITY, BUT WHOLLY INADEQUATE TO DESCRIBE THE WONDER OF IT ALL.

Sliders isn't over. Trek wasn't, and we already know the movie is being planned. I refuse to say goodbye.

See you when the movie opens, if not before!

Farewell to a Very Creative Show ...

Date: 2/4/2000
From: SLIDER5

To me, the thing that drew me TO Sliders is the thing that drives me AWAY from most other shows - creativity.

Think about it -- what other show focuses on alternate histories as opposed to time travel or some other sci fi concept? There may be others I haven't heard of, but certainly not a show with this much reach.

Yes the show has had weak and terrible moments, but lets remember the good times.

Goodbye Sliders!!!!

adios, farewell, cheerio, so long, au revoir, Sliders. It was a long strange trip for a television show. Let's hope for that movie.

See You Later <end>

I really loved the show. One of the few shows I hurried home to make sure I watched. Well, whenever possible. But anyways I agree with the person who said this show had creativity. I was just really disappointed with the ending episode. I hope there is another series or a movie or something to tie up the loose ends.

goodbye

It's a little ironic that my first post is to say goodbye to one of my favourite shows, but, hopefully someday in the not to distant future Sliders will return for a new season or film :-(

I don't believe in goodbyes...

I have only been watching Sliders for about 10 months. In that time, however, Sliders quickly became my favorite sci-fi show. I may have started watching it at a bad time (beginning of 3rd season), but I stuck with it and promptly grew to love it. Now, with the final season at an end, it doesn't really seem like it's gone. Sure there may not be any more new episodes, but as long as we keep the sliders sliding in our hearts, they will never fade away. It's wonderful to see how much so many people care about the show, and honor it by writing their own spinoffs. We can all help the show to live on, despite the imperfections and mistakes, by refusing to let it disappear into the forgotten valleys of the past. I sincerely hope everyone does.

So, here's to Sliders: it was a wonderful series that made us think about the infinite and wondrous possibilities in the world and helped us see what could have been. Thanks, Quinn, for letting us tag along on the ride that started it all. Thanks, Professor, for helping us to keep our goals in sight through trials and adversity. Thanks, Wade, for teaching us to see each day as a fresh start and a chance to set things right. And finally, thanks, Rembrandt, for being a true friend from the start of the ride to the end of the adventure, and reminding us that sliding never ends....

Slide on, my friends.
