In a chat in last night's #Chandler room on IRC, I was confronted with an accusation that Bob Weiss' chat with fans a few weeks ago was a forgery. Whoever it was who attacked me saying I staged the whole thing, with the help of co-conspirators JorgeCis, QBall79, Blinker and Temporalflux... well, you're right.

I don't know how this information escaped past the five of us... I was under the impression that we wanted to keep it secret. I mean, all of our reputations were at stake.

We concocted the idea of a movie, in addition to the chat with Robert Weiss, a few months ago when spirits were down. The use of RKWeiss the IM handle was orchestrated by myself while also remaining online with my other AIM handle. In truth, RKWeiss has never used that name and has requested to those who are in the know not to reveal his true AOL identity. Every time you've talked to RKWeiss or gushed to him in e-mail, you've been talking to me.

The movie is not in the planning stages at all. It was a sheer lie created by those you respected to lift your spirits for the final four before Sliders shuts down forever. Clearly, this hope was dashed last night when I was approached about the conspiracy. I told those in the chat room I would announce the lie to the bulletin board, and I am doing it now.

Apologies to all those who sincerely thought a Sliders movie was in the works. Maybe someday we'll see something, but for now, those hopes are unfounded.

It is possible that these people are serious. All of the information given to all websites, including SciFi and Cinescape, were given them by Blinker, QBall79, and SpaceTime. We never have seen ANY interviews of BobWeiss accept the one done in the chat room. All the interviews in the magazine refer to THAT chat. Never once have we seen a public statement... This sucks... Well, that was a surprise. I didn't see that coming, at all,
in any direction. Especially from the princess, who I am going
to give quite a lecture to about not lying to me about
newspaper articles. Saying there was actually a tiny, section
devoted to that was...cold.
I'm sorry, but I can't stop laughing. I mean, it wasn't
exactly a kind thing to do, yet thinking about all the time I

my hopes up for it, is not funny, but still a shock. And

Take a nice, deep breath. It wasn't true. We will live, even
if the show dies, but it won't. Wasn't everyone concerned about how slow

show truly will die, because the fans make the show.

TF says that he had no part in this and that he still believes the RK chat was real. TF has NEVER lied to me, so I believe him.

Blinker told me he had no idea about the hoax, that he had no part of it either, and ST set him up.

These two are my friends, and ST always has been sick in the head. Whether it was a hoax or not, Magazines are digging it. Lets just let it go on, maybe a movie will come out of the rumors. Wouldn't be the first time.

hello all. I have been reading the messages on this board for quite some time, although I have only posted messages myself a few times. I am Robert Weiss. I feel the need to imform you all that a movie IS in the works. It not will star all of the original cast members because of scheduling difficulties. Clevent Derricks will not continue his role as Remebrant Brown because of his ongoing battle with the rickets. He will be replaced by tony award winning actor Ben Vereen. (there is currently a Clevent Derricks fund and I urge you to send as much money as you can to 150 Pine Street, Secaucus NJ 11260). The role of Proffessor Arturo will be played by John Popper (lead singer of Blues Traveler. This will be his first acting role.) Quinn Mallory will be replaced by Keanu Reeves and Wade Welles will be played by Winona Ryder.
I also thought that you would be interested in knowing that The Sci-Fi Channel has agreed to continue the show with a contract of 11 more seasons if the movie does well.
We are having some finincial trouble with the movie...so..any money you can spare would be greatly appreciated. The more money you send, the better your chance to gain the much heralded part of Norman Mallory. Quinn's crazy inventor uncle.

Like we didnt have enough fractioning in Sliders fans already, as if our fan base wasnt small enough, the JOC thing and now this. Just what Sliders fans need, a reason to hate and not trust our former leaders. To bad you cant get them banned or something! I have officially removed TF from my "group leaders" list. Exec and Informant now stand alone there I guess. As for the rest well... lets just say that when the BTTF bulletin board comes back up, Ill make sure the guys there know not to trust QBall. The rest of you, I know not very well.

Sliders is not Trek, if we kept our group close to intact we would have been... Im more confident now than ever that Sliders will never be anything more than a forgotten SCIFI series, and this from a guy who watched from the pilot till the end (well I havent seen the last 4 yet). Its another Quantum Leap, another Sea Quest... with less success than those two... now I just feel lucky to have the reruns on SCIFI for however long that lasts. Why do this now? Why not later... when we had no new eps to look forward to... just a question, from a purturbed fan.
