As for me, I take total responsibility. I'm not apologetic, and I'm quite surprised at the vocal outbursts that have happened over the last day.
Of course it was a hoax. And of course the Sliders Bulletin Board went absolutely apeshit and did the rest of the work for me. No one even considered it was a joke until Stax_ made his post. Posters legitimized their worst fears by posting their own opinions of how they always felt it was BS to hope for a Sliders movie. I planted the seed, you all nurtured it.
To all those who now believe I'm an ass, well, this shouldn't have been what pushed me over the edge. Anyone who knows me should know that this is what I am about. Trust me, or don't trust me. I'm not terribly concerned what most of you think.

Okay, you may have pushed people you didn't like and you may have dragged a fight or two too long, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back!
Something happened to you. You weren't like this in the beginning. Maybe you see the board a different way than others, maybe the board changed you. Or maybe you were like this from the beginning. I don't care.
You need to get your act together ST. People were letting you get away with too many damn things because some people actually respect(ed) you! You have a wonderful site, you seem like a great person out side of the computer... So why? Why do this? Attention? I've learned a long time ago that that isn't the way to go.

Just because the lot of cannot fathom the possibility that YOU ALL have responsibility to use that limited intellect you have and THINK for once. Still, that was a cruel joke to play. Especially if you're like me, and you don't frequent the board as often as others. I mean, I can see why the overreactions.
-Sliders was ditched by one station. (Fox)
-Lost some great actors (and one not so great one)
-Got two new, OK actors
-and Lastly, got cancelled when there is other Scifi crap that should've gone first.At last, the hope of a movie comes out, and then it's "revealed" as a hoax?! If I weren't a thinking person, I'd have ripped you a new one!

emm, you have a life beyond the Internet and Sliders, EPT ? Believe me, bucko, I have a life beyond the Internet. One that would beat what you call your life anyday. The internet is amazingly old technology to me, for I've been on it since 1994, when hypertext was just becoming mainstream and a little program that you've never even heard of called 'Lynx' was released. After 6 years, it has gotten amazingly boring.
But believe me, E.P.T. (otherwise known as 'The Error Proof Test') I do have a "life" beyond this little thing called the internet. I have hundreds of pictures to prove that too. And beyond video games, if you've seen my conversation with Cpt. Bridger lately. I have a life beyond the electronic world of today. Just because I have a brain and use it to my advantage doesn't mean I'm soom illbrained teenager that uses big words and has nothing beyond the internet.

I can understand some of what you did but don't agree with it. How is having a reputation and then destroying it with lies going to help one's credibility. You claim you don't care if anyone trusts you? Then why are you making such a big deal about it? Your point is valid that people here need to get out and smell the roses more..and not make this their life, but it could have been accomplished in another way. People should be wary of trusting everything they see, and just any person who makes a statement.However, people trust one another based on reputation. If they build up a good one, they are trusted, if not they aren't. Now, no one will likely trust anything on the board. It's going to take awhile for you to build up your trust again no matter what you do.
I guess we should all just wait for official news at scifi and/or several other places like cinescape.com. If they all are saying it , then that is what we'll go with
