Well, don't say I didn't warn you.

I figured it was the weekend and people were gone, but after posting a double shot of B v. E to non-existent adultation/derision (thanks Nole9, your posts are always welcomed and appreciated), I'm pulling it from the BBoard.

Why? Because no one wants to read it apparently. Big surprise. But I'm not going to abandon it completely. Sign up for SlideFiction, an eGroup account that I made for B v. E and Brand_S' Season Six. Yes, S will be making the transition, too.

It takes a little more time to do than reply to a post, so it's probably a huge effort, but seeing as half of you are IN the story, it seems kind of foolish to miss out on the goodness just because you're too lazy to reply, eh?

My freakin’ god, is that all you guys do around here? Bitch because you don’t get enough attention? No I won't be joining yet another male run club focusing on your need to be sucked up to or ego petted. I am so sick and tired of listening to this self-serving drivel.

We've seen several people fade away from the board after having more than one little story completely ignored or shredded by you of all people. Do you realize how many female posters you (you and a collective you) and your attitude have run off this board? Jessie Mallory's Terra Prime received little or no replies when she put it up and her boardnapping, while well received for awhile, was usurped and suddenly found a new audience. I also haven't seen anything besides the occasional reply from Mychand., and nothing from Tigs.

Does anyone write for the attention? I can only answer for myself, I write because I enjoy it. And if people like it then cool, if they don’t I don’t give a flying fuck. I don’t write for you or Tf or dark or any of the other guys, and I don’t give a shit if you like it or hate it. I write for me, and because I need to. It is a part of me. What I have written for here is almost become a chore, which for the most part is why I stopped writing and replying. It wasn't fun anymore, because I thought I was doing it for the people here on the board and I was wrong. I found that out when I started posting shorts and/or ideas else where on writer sites. I found I didn’t need people to tell me they liked what I wrote. I found I enjoyed just talking and sharing info and ideas with fellow writers. Which I’m also thrilled to say happened with at least two people from here. Writing isn't just a hobby, to me it is my calling and hopefully my career choice for life.

Now a bunch of you asked why I started this, and why some of you became a part of it. You guys are so completely blind to the way you act around here. You strut around here with your chests stuck out, saying I’m great, my opinions are the best, I know more than so and so, or I’m more creative then anyone. Your egos are so inflated that when someone disagrees with someone else it becomes and all out war.

Why am I a lurker now? No it is not because of your collective egos, or lack of attention (well maybe a smidgen) or because of stupid bashing posts. No it is more for a lack of empathy a lot of you show for some of the others around here especially for us females. Space attacked Tigs and no one cared, HTZ mocked Jessie Mallory's efforts and most replied with humor. I knew I could do nothing to help Tigs except to post supporting replies, and lend a venting ear. Sorry Tigs I wish I was as good as MSR at flaming, but I’m not like that. Now, when I first saw it HTZ’s post on the JOC board I was furious and royally pissed off. She has no right to use someone else's concept. But after a day I cooled off and my opinion became she must be the Weird Al of the board, can't come up with good stuff on her own so she steals and mocks others. Who knows, maybe she has no clue it wasn't nice. Maybe she is the female version of someone else here.

I just don't get it I guess. Space flames the shit out of anyone who might attack him or copies his stuff or heaven forbidden disagrees with him. Tf goes after everyone for details and copying his or any other guy's work or ideas. But if someone goes after one of us girls or claims part of one of our ideas and you guys think it is great fun. Is it because to all of you guys we aren't real? It is a theory a friend told me, that a lot of guys don’t really see most females on line as being real. Or is it that we don't matter as much as the elite guys to any of you. (Yes Brand you aren't the only one to realize there IS an elite group of guys here, or actually two).

I don’t know, but I have had enough friends off line that have hurt me in a similar manner to have to deal with it here. I guess I’m just tired of trying anymore. Yes I’m shy and don’t actively seek people out or offer my opinions. I’m not real great at conversation or quickly piecing together replies. I just figure most wouldn't be interested in what I have to say so I remain for the most part quiet on the board. And for the most part (and some of you aren't included, so don’t be offended) when some have tired to engage me in chat they end up ignoring me so what am I to think? I’m boring I guess. So blame me for my being a lurker. I’m tired of trying.

Are you serious, TI? I'm one of the people that supports Jessie and her "Boardnapped" story. In fact, until about 5 minutes ago I was under the impression that HTZ had permission to write such a putrid, shitty add-on to it. That's what Dellyone said.

I bitch bitch bitch because it's a fairly simple task that, after reading a story, to post three words acknowledging they did. I figure at least 5 people are following the story. Is it so fucking difficult to post "HAHAHAHAHA! [end]"? Nope. So why not do it so people don't have to listen to me beg for attention?

I write for myself, too, hon, but fuck, knowing people are reading it is nice, too. Because I can look at the $#@!%!$#% Word file on my hard drive and smile, and not put the effort into sectionalizing it and pasting it on the BBoard and the SAME EFFECT is achieved in MY eyes. B v. E is GLORIOUS, but going from 19 replies to 11 to 8 to 4 to 1 is maddening.

I don't know your writing. I haven't seen it since January when you and Tf got into a LOVE suplex over "Dust." As for Tigs, I have my reasons to argue with her. Contrary to popular belief, I don't really argue with many people. Hell, I barely register as a dot on Tig's scope. We don't talk and that's fine.

If I want to act SNIPPY to raise awareness OF THE GLORY THAT IS B V. E, so be it. Something that's been written is useless if it's been written for people to read if no one reads it. Bottom line.

As for you being one of her supporters, I’ll give you the fact that you replied twice in 7 parts. I would not consider that as a great record though. And as for the mocking, I noticed, and know for a fact that no one bothered to find out from her if it was done with permission.

If it is such an easy task to post a small reply after each post that is read then 2 of 7 is a piss poor record.

The Internet is really not such a great place to get recognition for ones writing the only true place is out in the real world getting published. I’m truly sorry that satisfaction in your own work leaves you lacking. But I bet Jessie would kill to even get half as many replies as you have had over time

I, for my own reasons, refrain from posting any of my creative writing here since they are not Slider’s related. Here on this board I have mainly stick to Sliders related issues or matters of fact.

I do hope you enjoy your SNIPPY attempts at raising awareness more power to you.

Dear TI,

HTZ starts her Part 8 Boardnapping post with the fact that its unauthorized. Anyone who knows Jess would know she wouldnt like it. Its blatantly political. I noticed the only replies were of disdain, or of mocking the political nature. I did not see TI post anything; nor did I come to Jess's defense.. because until Jess says something, there isn't a need to defend Jess.

I've been following the fanfics posted here. I don't reply enough. I acknowledge that, and accept the 'For Shames" that come my way. I know it takes time to write. Its hard to be creative. If I became a writer, I think not knowing my story is read would be horrible.

Also, it's aggrivating to be reading a series, and the author just quits in the middle. I'm still waiting for HK and Tigs to finish theirs. I hope Jess will finish, starting with the REAL Part 8. I'm hoping ST and S will reconsider, and post here, as well as the other open places.

I've heard it said that on an electronic board, ladies and gentlemen are equal, cuz ladies can write as well or better than gentlemen. For most, tho, flaming is hard. (It is for me to step up and flame.) I don't think the gentlemen disregard us (honestly), we just ain't as loud as they are. I'd like to think if one of us needed help, one of the gentlemen would step in (and they have - I thank them).

I would like to see you post more often TI, I like your posts.

2 of 7 replies is 2 more replies than you made. And while I admit that I haven't done a written reply on the BBoard to every post, I've told JM how much I appreciate the story on Instant Messenger. If people off the BBoard did the same to me I'd consider it the same as a post.

I'd venture that, statistically, most people don't even know who you are, let alone know your level of seriousness.

Answer me this: if someone isn't online and isn't available to ask directly due to a variety of illnesses, how am I supposed to ask her? Why would it even cross my mind? If anything, the Beret War is a perfect example of a group of people taking command of a story. Who's to say that HTZ didn't have permission? I'm not going to make a broad assertion like that just because the writing style is utterly ridiculous. I've seen more partisan B.S. than that in a typical Slider_Dee/Informant post.

Temptress, I'm fully satisfied with my story. Dark and I know it is the shit. We don't need people to tell us if it's awesome or if it's the worst waste of 5 minutes they've every spent. What we want is that people who read ACKNOWLEDGE IT WAS READ.

You think BvE is Sliders related? It's BBoard related, and even so, I've seen stories and posts with the [NSR] subject heading. If you've got something you think others will like, post it. And people that read it should reply. Simple as that.
