Well, folks, this is the big one. The one I thought I'd have finished roughly ten months ago only to see self-imposed deadline after self-imposed deadline pass me by.

EP.COM has had another facelift. Not just one, actually, but two. The only place Version 6 visited last year was my hard drive.

Does this mean that EP.COM is pretty much dead in terms of further updates? No, not really. Look at the site and you'll see that there's another half-dozen things I want to do in the immediate future but haven't been able to polish due to lack of time. There's always the reviews, as well. I'll keep plugging away, so be on the lookout.

What this DOES mean, however, is that I'm done here. I've registered the name "EP.COM" to post when I update the site, but this is my final post as SpaceTime. Aside from the overall downturn of the board of late, it's really difficult to find time in the day to devote to Sliders. Hey, we all grow up and move on to other stuff; not a big deal. I'll still be involved in things, just not here.

For anyone out there who's pissed at me for whatever reason, I'd like to take a minute to just say I hold no ill will towards anyone here, and I'm sorry for anything I might have done to create any hostility towards people who aren't flagrant trolls (they deserve to be beaten down and summarily executed). My e-mail is available on the site if you'd like to talk – I'd be happy to clear the air with you.

I'd also like to take this chance and personally call out to Tf and request that he look beyond our problems and resume the public updates on his website. I know that the sole reason that he hasn't in years is me, so I'm removing myself from the situation. I've removed direct links to DoC material (something that pissed Tf a great deal, though I never thought of it as information theft the way he did), reinstated the credit as E211 story contributor and inside information procurer and have pretty much distanced myself in any way that might upset him. Really, when it comes down to it, we've behaved pretty shamefully and I'll do what I can to rectify the situation.

In the meantime, to paraphrase myself, I'm not dying, just taking a hiatus. Recent events like Zach's illness have put a lot of perspective into what's going on in my life and the BBoard ain't one of them. It also highlights why you haven't seen Zach post in probably 6 or 7 months. It's a safe bet that this post signals his swan song as well.

To those sad I'm taking off, just drop me a line over e-mail or on IM and we'll chat; chances are we already do. For those happy to see me go, cool. This is a win-win situation for all. :)

So enjoy the update, folks. It's the culmination of 18 months of work and I'm very proud of it. I'll be looking for a Sliders movie along with the rest of you, and wish you all best of luck in your endeavors.

No, seriously, this is one heck of an update and I say that not because I had some exceedingly minor hand in it. First off, it looks terrific. Businesses take note: this guy can design a professional looking site.

Secondly, it really did take 2 years. TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND SCREEN SHOTS. If you've missed an episode, well, now you can at least see what it looked like in amazing detail. The quality of the screen grabs is outstanding.

Third- The Travelogue is updated through THREE SEASONS. No one ever talks about the Travelogue when EP.COM comes up but it's one of the best Sliders related web projects out there. It's both fun and funny, not to mention informative.

And this is just scraping the surface. You can spend weeks at this site and still not read it all. I know the effort that was put in and I appreciate it, Matt. Good luck in all your endeavors and I'll talk to you soon. Now I'm off to search for some easter eggs...

I understand your need to use 10 dollar words, but you need to find a better one there. None of the sites you list are your affiliates. If you don't believe me, I would love to see your conversation with Sci-Fi.com when it happens. On my behalf, I appreciate the link - I don't appreciate the wording. It brings back to me the long standing problem we've had of you wanting some control and recognition over the DoC...this is your latest small stab at that.

As for the rest, I do appreciate that you are no longer actively picking apart the exclusive portions of my site (along with the non public sections). Regardless of whether not you agree, I'll still never understand why you would continue it for so long after being put on notice. The advisory on my script outtake pages went up the day you made v5 public.

Of course, upon investigation...we see that you have found new ways to pick apart the DoC's exclusive material anyway. Some credited...some not. For an example, look to the "Double Cross" capsule. I've always been the only source of the reasoning for Zoe McLellan's departure - it has always been part of my FAQ - but no credit from you. The same applies to the Fox season four material mentioned in your Exclusives section quite often. I got my hands on one of the Fox proposal packets years ago and have the synopsises for the 13 proposed episodes. What incentive do I truly have to put them online looking at how that's handled in your Exclusives section? And in the articles section...where did that Tempo cover inside each article come from? I was never even asked if it could be used; and I'm the only source.

To those who think these problems are small...that's a double edged sword. If they are so small...and if Matt was actively trying to not to screw anyone...then why even go there as he suggests in this post? Why the obsessive need to pick apart other prominent sites to fill out your own? Why do you need the small things? Are your other contributions truly so limited? For those who have always wanted a true community of Sliders fans working together...why attempt to constantly distill it into one? We don't even have as much influence as just one.

Beyond the surface, very little has changed in my mind. I applaud the attempt, and wish it would sincerely continue; but I do not really feel more secure now. I see a set of shaky gestures that could easily turn on a dime. As I was told from your camp, "You should expect it to be stolen if you put it online". That attitude screws every Sliders fan in the world...but it is the culture you've worked quite hard to create over a span of many years. I'm sure others "in the know" are left to wonder what could have been if you truly had backed off and just done your own work. I don't have to wonder. I have 11 50 pound boxes of never before seen documents that answer the question for me.

Does that mean the DoC is dead? Oh no. Plans have been in motion for a long while to do something actually new with the site; and it has been active in some ways (mostly in truly helping other Sliders sites). It obviously hasn't been a priority to update (just like your site), and I've also held back an update in hopes of some synergy with other projects (one of which could finally reach fruition in the next month). All of my material will eventually be public, though...but on my terms and in my time. And even after your words today, I do still feel the need to be careful. As many know, I am a very generous person and plan to continue that...but that has a limit. I won't be someone's door mat on their way to personal glory...and whether or not that's your intent, that's how you've generally made me feel, Matt. For instance, the continually insistent requests in the 90's for merging our sites under your design and name never helped. The little bits such as "affiliate" and the small DoC pieces taken do nothing but bring those various desperate offers back to mind.

In any case, I expect some kind of "hurt" tantrum from several over these words (and they are being e-mailed to Matt as well before that is brought up). I don't see why you should be surprised, and I'm not really interested in talking to any of the little group (I tired of it back when my own life was in a bit of turmoil)...but I do fully expect you to over react. That's the standard after all. I will be the "bad guy" for asking why and pointing out facts. And yes...I did notice how there is now no mention of where the season one through three capsules came from. Even with permission...why is that credit so begrudged? Why isn't there pride in Expert's past work and the opportunity to continue it? Even if he said "I don't care"...why wouldn't *you* care?

Goodbye SpaceTime and Darkslider. My only regret is that I truly know this is not goodbye.

Thus, Matt can do as he wishes with the material and show credit to NONE. It's COMMON INFORMATION, just like you ostrich/beaver lineage. Matt could wipe his ass with the content on your site, hang it up on in an art gallery and revise the dada movement with it. It would not matter. Your legal standing with that information is as NONEXISTENT.

Graphically, I think it's really good. Is it well structured? Not perfectly, but most websites are not. (since there are few scientific standards out there can't fault anybody).
I CANNOT chastize Spacetime or anyone he works with on the amount of time or effort put into this website. I would never have done that, too little attention span.

I always loved his episode capsules and travelogue. I've said many times if there is an online encyclopedia of Sliders, earthprime is the place.

As for the "Exclusives" area, I agree with TF, as I always have regarding this subject. There are surely some things that TF posted first. Does Spacetime have the right to put them on his site without source? I'm not a lawyer but he may. Is it a courteous thing to do? Probably not. Could they have not realized they were copying DoC? Possibly. But this is the Internet, and laws usually don't apply.

As for the affiliate thing. I did see that, but I think they changed it to other sliders sites. When i saw that my first impression was also, BAD wording. The wording seems fine now.

To SpaceTime, I give your goodbye speech about a 50/50 shot of being truly a good bye. Either way, your effort and work on the EP site is clearly second to none (although Steve at earth62 is GREAT too!) But you are very guilty of fooling with TF's content from his website.

Per TF's DoC site and his not wanting to expose his hard work and research to plunder..... I do not blame him at all. I hope that you can give the DoC an equally impressive face lift. I think when you do your slogan on every page of exclusive content should be "YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST!" There's no shame in being a little boisterous about that. I hope that you can make your site a gold mine of insider Sliders details. I certainly want to see them.
TF, I probably have told you this outside of this board many times, but I think you should just ignore what Spacetime does. If he reprints what you've said in a round a bout way, what can you do? If he prys into your material before it goes live as in the past, then that is plain dispicable. No one should support that. I think once you get your site straightened out, you should put your info up on their with that "you saw it here first" slogan and make the purpose of your site as an exclusive treasure trove. and be Vocal about it, you deserve that right, and I think everyone out there will say, we've got some really good, specialized Sliders sites out there, whose designers did a fantastic job. Cause, bud, Sliders may never come back and this board is gradually going away. But your website and that of others like EP or Earth62, etc., is where and how this show can live on!

Do I think that some kind of connected network of Sliders sites between EP, DoC, Earth62, Gate haven, etc., would be a great idea, maybe it's not the best one in reality. So be it.

So I really don't care who makes up with who or who doesn't. I'm having too much fun trying to pick up Chicks on Friendster.com!!!!! HA HA HA. Seriously, I think EP.com is very cool SpaceTime. And if you've still got content TF feels should be noted as his, I would hope you would look at your site more closely for those and fix them. Of course, that would require TF actually making a list of them, but he shouldn't have to, not his responsibility. TF, I hope you do update your site and bring forward more goodies. Few other shows have such detailed sites as either of yours, and I would hope you both realize that what you're doing is furthering the legacy of Sliders. Remember that.

You told darkslider that you “skimmed” through the replies before posting yours. Well all you needed to do was “skim” to see my question, as it was a very short post. If you looked at that post at all you would have seen the question. I asked you very politely and straightforwardly a question and I have yet to see the answer. This “skimming ”was either very convenient for you to avoid the answer OR you are just plain ignoring me. I don’t care which it is frankly, as I thought you might do something like that. I hoped that quick and friendly question would prompt a quick and polite answer, but you seem to respond better to longer posts that you just “skim over,” so I will reward you with a nice long one (hey, stop thinking like that! I meant a post!).

Despite what you may think at this moment, I did not come here to fight you. It’s obvious that you and I share no love, but I never considered you my enemy even though you treat me as one. I am here to state my two cents. You can do whatever you want with it. I will say what I have to with no shame of consequence. I don’t care if I make a few new “enemies” out of the deal. You and I have some friends in common, and if this post of mine makes me “lose” some of them, well, maybe they weren’t such great friends to begin with. Matt was just saying good-bye and that he was ending his half of this long overdrawn battle between you two. The issues you brought up, could have been summed up nicely in an e-mail. You know that he left, and that was the way to reach him, you even sent him a copy of your reply, so the only task you could possibly fulfill by posting it here is to take another stab at trying to humiliate him and try to glorify yourself. News flash, we already knew you were going to do that before Matt posted his good-bye. Matt gave you the benefit of a doubt; the rest of the world was counting the seconds till you were going to pull this shit once again. Why? Because you are repetitive, dull and predictable. Period. Don’t insult me by calling that a flame. I think you know me better than that.

Just yesterday a couple of us jumped into an AIM chat and we talked about really geeky things like movies, old video games, and even British comedies. That is the kind of thing that happens in a typical chat between us all. We don’t put any energy into getting people to dislike you because we really don’t care enough about you to do so. No offense but, you aren’t exactly the person I dream about when I’m trying to relax. Sorry. And in all honesty, you do a better job of making enemies than we could ever do for you in a coordinated effort. Again this is just the facts, not a flame.
The same can’t be said about you however. You put LOTS and LOTS of energy into the “everyone needs to hate Matt” campaign. In fact, isn’t that how you and I became so “chummy”? I know this because I have seen saved chats with people, I have talked to people that have quoted you, even some that are friends with you, I have seen e-mails and most importantly, I see stuff like what you posted in this very thread to show me that. Yes, here you are again having the same dance to the same tune that has been played way too many times. But I won’t dance with you. Zach has his own agenda for dancing with you, but I just want to put my two cents in because you are not my enemy, even though you think I am yours.
Before fifty people jump in, know that I do NOT have the same option to go e-mail TF on this. I cannot communicate with him on AIM. This is because the “hero” decided to block my handle from his AIM account. I didn’t harass him, I didn’t threaten him, I didn’t do anything worse than what you see here. All I did was disagree with his opinion. I would assume that my e-mail address was put into his e-mail filter so I won’t even bother e-mailing him anymore. Trust me, I tried that too after I noticed that I was blocked. His response to why I was blocked? It was because he felt, “that would be a clear signal I was not going to "bother" you any more...”. Shouldn’t I be the one who blocked HIM then? But whatever, he doesn’t have to let me see him online. I could have used another AIM handle to contact him now, but why if he doesn’t want me too? I’m pretty sure if I had sent him a message via clicking on his handle here, that it would bypass his filter but again, why should I? If he wishes not receive e-mail from me, why go about it the slick way? Besides after that reply he just left, I figure “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”
Now on to what you actually said….

Thanks for the definition. I’m sure everyone here has a general understanding of what affiliate means. I always liked die.net. Great site, some funny stuff there. I particularly like the psycho ex-girlfriend stuff. You know, you clutch so desperately to try and hang us that you end up hanging yourself. Most people who would go and read EP would see the affiliates link and just think that those were Sliders related webs sites from people that he knows. Maybe affiliate wasn't the best word, but its good enough. There are plenty of web sites out there that do the same thing. Maybe you should go harass them to change their wording too? Oh wait, that's right, THEY AREN'T from "SpaceTime Camp." Maybe next time I update TFK I will make links to other Freddy sites and call them AFFILIATES. Betcha not one of them will complain!

See, even YOU know its small nit-picky stuff but you try to argue it by twisting the truth around and parsing it to your advantage.(I used that word just for you. ;)) This is consistent with the way you talk to other people to get them to hate us too. The funny thing is how many of them talk to us privately wondering why you make such a big deal out of nothing.
A LOT of posters here don’t say much against you because they fear you. They think that no one will like them if they disagree with you or butt heads with you and it's really sad. If you were really the kind and generous person that you pretend to be, then they should have no fear at all. They should feel comfortable saying the truth without worrying that you will crucify them for having a different opinion. I feel for these people. They won’t say anything to you but they feel comfortable confiding in people like Matt and I. In addition, people that are known friends of yours and dare I say, AFFILIATES of yours enjoy chatting with me both on this board and in AIM chats. Some of them chat with Matt, and Zach, and even Ryan too. Why would they do that if we are such "evil conniving charlatans?" Maybe it's because they see something that you don't: that we are just normal guys of intellect that share some common traits with them. The difference is that we aren't afraid to tell you how it is.
You know, I asked the other "campers" and no one seems to remember saying anything like what you quoted. You know the one I asked about that you still didn’t answer? Forgot already? Here…

You HAVE to be quoting me. Well guess what Mr. "Innocent". You just lied! That is NOT what I told you. In fact, I didn't even make a statement. I asked you why you put something out on the web that you didn't want anyone to see? I asked because I couldn't understand why you would do that. I didn't say expect it to be stolen. I just said it was foolish to have it out there when it wasn't ready yet. You can fuss all you want about how its not the point, but my point is that you paraphrased me incorrectly for the purpose of elevating your argument. That's what dirty, crooked lawyers do. They twist the truth to make their case win. You shall be successful one day using these methods. But at what price Daniel? When you twist my wording to make me sound like an asshole, THAT is when I have a major issue with you.

This isn’t some tantrum from the group that you are dealing with here. This is ME, Joey Starr calling you out for your lies, and deception. I love how your post starts off like it will be a sincere good-bye and turns quickly into a bitching session that had no place here any longer, and then went on the defensive making you look like the victim, and then your "sincere good-bye" to Matt and Zach only to say, " My only regret is that I truly know this is not goodbye."

Why bother saying good-bye then? Why bother posting. Did Matt respond to you here? No. Because he is done with this. He is already fixing the "problems" you pointed out even though he has no obligation because he wants no more crap from you. And darkslider never said he was leaving, Matt just assumed that he would probably follow suit. I'm glad he didn't.
BTW, I have documentation to back up everything that I stated here and will be happy to share at any time. You may accuse me of having "doctored" it but you know damn well what happened in those chats between you and I Danny. To everyone else here, I have but one question for you to think about if you doubt what I say…When have I EVER lied to the Bboard? IF you think of one please link me too it. Otherwise, you don't have a good reason to doubt my honesty.

Grizzlor: darkslider and SpaceTime are two unique people. Matt was just saying the good-bye for him cause he honestly though we had seen the last of Zach. HHH! And no, darkslider is not black, except for periods of time after he falls asleep on the beach.

Vance: a great song by a great band. I owe you a demo CD of my band later this year for bringing that up. We have a sound that is usually compared to Tool.
