Rules of the Game (read

Rules of the Game This Sliders Survivor Game is story-lined based. To follow the storyline, you need to read the "Job Advertisement Ad" Post, read and complete the "Application for Employment" Post, and agree to follow all the rules here and on the "Contract for Consideration of Employment" Post. Each week I intend to have an immunity challenge, the judging, and the vote. But I intend to have story posts and a discussion that all must participate in too. Periodically, I intend to have small luxury challenges and storyline problems. 1. Two teams will compete for immunity from the vote. I've tried to follow the actual TV show "Survivors" and the theme of "Sliders" as well as I could. 2. Other than the clothes you travel in, you may take one luxury item. 3. Participants will be expected to participate each week with a storyline post, which may or may not include the topic of discussion, and the challenge contest. 4. Weekly votes will be sent to Yeontoo@earth62.net. The votes will be confidential, with a summary post given to show who received how many total votes. Once the game is over, I'll post a chart telling who voted what. 5. The voting period will last only 24 hours. If I don't receive your vote in that time, I am sorry, but I'll have to tally the votes without yours. 6. Failure to follow the rules of the challenge will result in the disqualification of that player and his/her post or email. 7. Failure to participate with the storyline post or topic of discussion will result in no personal immunity (if your team wins, but you do vote) or no personal vote (if your team loses). Once teams are combined, failure to participate just results in inability to vote. 8. This game is set up to last between 10-18 weeks. I am accepting suggestions if this seems too long. 9. One player will be voted off each team until one team has 3 players left. Then the teams will be combined into one, voting one off each week with the last 7 players voted off able to vote between the last two for our new Slider. 10. I have enough challenges to complete the game; however, if you send me one that I use instead of mine, you'll get immunity that week (warn: it'll have to be REALLY good, and not a duplicate of one of mine.) 11. Suggestions for "What if's" are encouraged, but will not result in immunity. 12. All posts concerning this game by the players must be made in this forum. You answer a challenge correctly, but post it by accident on (for example) the Sliders General Forum; it disqualifies you as a contributor for that challenge as well as your post being disqualified. Vortex62 and Sabre_Edge will not move it for you, even if it means their team would win the challenge. 13. The two teams will be given a separate thread to post discussion and storylines on, but please remember, all the contestants are around somewhere. Treat another contestant for the other team, as you would want to be treated. 14. If you have any questions or complaints, please email me Yeontoo@earth62.net I promise, I'll listen. Now, whether or not I change something to suit your complaint, we'll have to see. |

Addedum
A few rule clarifications have been brought up... A. You are dressing for an audition. That means one outfit. A bathing suit could be your luxury item. B. The application asks for 3 things, but you'll get to take only one. You can also change your mind about what to bring, as long as I'm notified before midnite:01 Sept 12, 2000. C. No firearms. D. Laptops are permitted, but your internet won't work on different worlds. E. "Storyline" posts do not have to be but a paragraph, or you can chose to post about the "What If" question instead. |

Yeah, this board shows Central time, so it'll be easier to keep up with that way. I need to know by then cuz my next post starting the game is right after that, and I'll need that info. Without it, I'll just pick something from your application. Blessings, ~Y |

Amendment
Rule 9 is now amended with 9A. 9A. If the total amount of players is 10 or under, these changes will be necessary: One player will be voted off each team until one team has 2 players left. Then the teams will be combined into one, voting one off each week with the last 5 players voted off able to vote between the last two for our new Slider. |

Clarification
Sorry guys, should have said this earlier. Voting time will start from the time I post who is immune, for 24 hours. The next week also starts the same time the voting starts, even if I haven't made the new thread yet. |
