Yes, the exclusive broadcaster of first-run Sliders eps in this part
of Canada -- previously best known for playing "Requiem" BETWEEN
"The Unstuck Man" and "Applied Physics" -- has just
topped itself.
See, this is Global's idea of the Final Six:
1) Heavy Metal (in which the timer goes on the fritz)
2) A Thousand Deaths (timer fine again)
3) To Catch A Slider (whoops, timer's fritzier than a '70s animated
cat)
4) Dust (which doesn't even make sense on its OWN)
5) The Seer (in which Remmy dives to an uncertain fate on Earth Prime,
using co-ordinates obtained during... uh...)
That's right. NEXT week is 'Eye of the Storm.' A week AFTER the series
freakin' finale, they show the events leading UP to it. And you thought
Sliders continuity was *already* screwed up!
Upcoming narcotic-fueled Global programming decisions:
• Airing Pilot Part II, followed by a special RealPlayer "webcast"
of Part I exclusively for those with T3-speed net connections.
• Airing Luck of the Draw, followed by Genesis, followed by a
commercial for New Gods For Old (which never actually airs), followed
by an exclusive new story created from editing two others together:
"Oh Breeder, Where Art Thou." It's cryogenic wackiness all
around when new slider Colin goes on an unstoppable sex-and-murder spree!
• Airing "Joanie Loves Chachie."
Anyway, this post also serves to let everyone know that I'm going to
be away on holidays the next week (specifically 'til next Sunday...
late next Sunday.) Take care, all.
