I remember a time when I relished a new episode of
Sliders. When I couldn't wait to see what was in store for our
quartet (Of course, this was pre-Exodus). I don't know what
happened. I still care very much for those old episodes and
my ideas that stem from them, but every week that either a re-run
or a new 4th season episode goes by, I feel myself drifting
further and further away from the show. I love the concept,
but I just don't feel satisfied with what the writers are giving
us. I mean, come on, Net Worth was an episode without a point
in my humble opinion and I still don't understand what the point
was in doing this episode. I think the only episode in season
4 that I really even cared for was Lipshitz Live (It was more
in tune with the off-beat comedic beginnings of some of the
earlier episodes) and World Killer had a good premise, but I
just don't think it used its full potiental.
I have this horrible feeling that I will one day wake up and
hate this show with a passion undreamt of. I only hope this
does not come to pass.
Maybe I'll get lucky and get sucked into a parallel world where
the original cast is still on the show and Torme still writes
episodes. I think then I could die a happy man.
Pray for me my brehtren.
