Chaser9's Wedding prt2-The Wedding
An interactive fanfic event

-The board members could scarcely believe it as the music began to play. Finally, the wedding would begin.

The lights dimmed slightly as Dylan and Andrew walked to the front. They were holding candle lighters and walked to a large arrangement of candles at the front of the church. The two lit the arrangement almost in unison, meeting at the top of the arrangement.

They blew out the candle lighters and returned to the rear of the church.

Savage Garden's "I knew I Loved You" began to play.

Dylan escorted Daphne's grandparents to their seats. Andrew then seated Chase's grandmother.

Dylan escorted Daphne's mother to the front. She stepped to the candle arrangement, lit a candle and placed it beside a unity candle. She then took her seat.

Andrew then escorted Chase's mother to the front, she did as Daphne's mother had before her. She lit her candle and placed it on the opposite side of the unity candle. She then took her seat at the front.

At that moment, Chase, his brother Kal, Blinker, QBall79 and TF entered from a side room. They took their place at the front next to the minister.

A young girl began to walk down the aisle tossing flower petals as she did. Four very lovely young women followed her. All were dressed in deep blue gowns. The 3 bridesmaids, Natalie, Heather and Ashley took their place on the opposite side of the men, as did Callie the maid of honor.

Savage Garden slowly faded and the wedding march began to play.

The crowd rose to see Daphne dressed in a marvelous white wedding gown. In that instant, every man was envious of Chase.

Daphne and her father walked down the aisle and stopped at the altar. Chase couldn't help but smile.

The minister spoke, "Who gives this woman?"

Daphne's father replied, "Her mother and I." He smiled at his daughter and took his place with his wife.

The minister began to speak, but Chase did not hear his words. He could only stare at the woman before him, the woman he would spend the rest of his life with.

His heart shudder at the thought that another place, another world he wouldn't have been with her and in that moment he thanked God for the blessing he had delivered into his life.

The minister's words pulled Chase back to reality.

"Before the vows, Chase has something special he would like to say to Daphne. Chase."

Blink handed Chase a mic.

"Please bear with me everyone. I may not have the greatest voice in the world but there's something I want to say to the most incredible woman I've ever known . . ..

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you've had too much to drink

Chase sat the mic down and looked deep into Daphne's eyes. Tears were welling up and it looked as if at any moment she might breakdown.

The Minister spoke, "Do you Chase take Daphne to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold for richer or poorer, through sickness and in health, in good times and bad as long as you both shall live?"

Chase looked directly into Daphne's eyes and spoke, "I do."

"And do you Daphne take Chase to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold for richer or poorer, through sickness and in health, in good times and bad as long as you both shall live?"

Daphne let the tears flow and spoke, "I do."

"The rings please," The minister said.

Daphne retrieved the ring from Callie and Chase was handed his by Kal.

They placed the rings on the others hand. A few brief vows were exchanged. The two walked to the unity candle. They each picked up the candle that their mother had lit. They each tilted the candles to touch the tip of the unity candle. In moments, what had been two became one. They stepped back to the altar and the minister spoke.

"Then by the power vested in me by God and the state of Arkansas I know pronounce you Husband and wife." He looked to Chase and spoke, "You may kiss the bride."

Chase leaned in and kissed Daphne, it was quite possibly one of the most passionate kisses in history.

Chase pulled back looked at his wife and spoke, "I love you."

Daphne smiled, "I love you."

"Ladies and gentleman may I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Chase Nyne. What God hath joined, let no man put asunder."

Chase and Daphne began their walk towards the rear of the church as the crowd went wild. Kal and Callie followed them. Blink and Natalie, QBall79 and Heather; and TF and Ashley.

The group made it's way out the door and the minister spoke.

"There will be a reception in the back hall, the happy couple invites you to attend. For now, take the chance to wish them well in their new endeavor. You are dismissed."

Okay folks, here we go again. I'll start the reception party tomorrow. So for now, let's have some fun after wedding, pre-reception interaction. Remember, this is Earth 345; things are different in this universe.

Nary A Dry Feminine Eye In The House

Yeontoo sat wiping her eyes as she wailed, even after the ceremony. She had absconded Sabre-Edge's hanky during Savage Garden's song, and had continually used it thru out the ceremony.

When the brides father said "her mother and I" to the minister, SouthernSlider began wailing. As Chase began his speech, none of the other ladies could no longer maintain her composure either.

It was quite a beautiful wedding.

Still cheering, the crowd watched as the wedding party went outside.

As soon as the minister finished speaking, an undiscernable din of voices arose amongst all the sniffling, and the quiet sound of noses being blown.<snif><snif> The ladies began hugging one another spontaneously.<snif><snif>

"Did you see that kiss?" <snif> <snif><snif>
"Oh dear, how wonderful!"
"That was beautiful!" <snif><snif><snif>
"Did you see her dress?"
"That was some kiss." <snif><snif><snif>
"Her bouquet was beautiful!" <snif><snif><snif>
"Wasn't that from the Wedding Singer?"
"That flower girl was adorable!"
"Chase is a lucky man. <snif> <snif><snif>
"Her dress was gorgeous!"
"Daphne is a lucky woman!" <snif><snif><snif>
"He's gonna let her hold the remote?"
"Chase looked good in a tux." <snif><snif><snif>
"I so loved the candles" <snif><snif>
"Is Chase's brother married?" <snif><snif><snif>
"Did you see Blinker slip?"
"I want to be first in line" <snif><snif><snif><snif>
"The pictures will be beautiful too" <snif><snif><snif>

Somewhere in the midst of this, the gentlemen began hugging too (didn't want to be left out).

The smell of food waffered in from the back room, and there was still some greeting and well wishing to be done.

That little church in the backwoods of Arkansas had never seen such.

Well, I just do declauh. I have nevuh witnessed a moah beautiful ceremony. <sniff, sniff> My hanky is just plumb wouh out.

Please do huhry with those wedding pictuhs, so that we can hug and kiss and congratulate the both of you.

But why do I get the feeling something is amiss. It must be those little warnings you keep giving us. Hmmmmmmm.

Leaning towards PoliteSliderFan and dellyone, Fantess asks "How is it that Earth 345 is different?"

Not having an answer the two lady's just shrug their shoulders, and keep wiping away tears.

Reaching into her purse Fantess takes out two embroidered hanky's, and hands them to them. Fantess could not remember seeing these two lady's every tear up before. Thinking back over one of the most memorable weddings she had ever attended tears started to swell in her eyes to.

That was beautiful.

PSF/WIS replies, "The ceremony."
