Premise began to change to annoying monster-of-the-week but the death of arturo destroyed sliders. Replacing arturo with maggie became melrose place in monsterland. The downward spiral farce: hunting rickman, losing wade, returning to home devastated by cromaggs, learning that quinn was alien, then the plot of saving world from cromaggs. But cromaggs could have served one useful purpose - killing maggie.Watching and waiting for stupid, evil maggie to be killed off became the new point to the show, but it wasn't worth watching all seasons. The hope that stupid maggie would be killed off wasn't worth the sheer stupidity of the show itself with maggie in it. But perhaps a plot for quinn and remy to kill maggie would be the next option. Or, the original cast returns and redeems itself from the stupid maggie syndrome in melrose-place-parallel-universe and real sliders destroy "alternate" sliders where maggie lied about quinn being alien and everything was blamed on maggie(including rickman and monsters and cromaggs). And quinn, arturo, remy and wade return to original home earth.
Air only the seasons with arturo. The episodes with maggie are trash! A show becomes a problem when you are rooting for the cromaggs to kill a regular character - maggie.

How did arturo die? I cant remember, he had something taken from his head didnt he? (brain fluid???) and injected into rickman? I remember not watching after sabrina left because I did not enjoy it, but I think I saw most of season 2 and 3.....It has been some years since I saw this so only fragments are in my head, it used to be shown on the BBC in the UK and someone reminded me about it? Is it repeated at all in the UK? Why was it stopped?

Damn burrito diet, it kills!In actuality, he died jumping in front of a bullet meant for Quinn. His last words were, "Get them home. <whispers> Sliders." Oh, and you were right about the brain fluid, because in order to jump in front of a bullet you need half a brain to do it. Well, at least that was Peck's reasoning.

but not on BBC2. At the moment it's being shown on SciFi UK (channel 402 on NTL, I can't remermber what it is on digital and I don't even know if it's on freeview) at 1pm and 7pm on a weekday. I think they're showing season 2 at the moment, but sometime in January or February (I can't rem ember which), they will show season 4, which has never been shown on BBC2. I don't think they even bought the rights to it of seaosn 5. It used to be on Sky 1.Sarah.

and the last 4 episodes of season 5 too, so sliderking, you are wrong. It's only terrestrial TV that is so far behind. And that's because it won' ever finish it. UK TV as a whole was AHEAD of anywhere else in the world at the end.Sarah.
