Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting on the board, so before I start foisting my inane drivel on to you good people I wondered if there are any specific rules of etiquette or protocol I should be aware of.

I take it that it goes without saying; foul and abusive language is not tolerated, but any other adivce would be much appreciated - I wouldn't want to be thought of as rude when all I was, was ignorant.

...all spoilers (i.e., any info that might give away key plot details to someone who has not seen the episode in question) must be preceded by a warning, either in the title or at the top of the body text. This is a standard bulletin board courtesy, which has been much hashed out here.

Also, off-topic posts are often denoted with (NSR) in the title, meaning Not Sliders Related.

As far as rules, between what you and John_Ransom said, that about covers it. Except that typing in all caps tends to make people think you're shouting at them. Other than that, just feel free to speak your mind and have fun!

I'm glad you noted that offensive language is not acceptable. It really upsets me, and I'm sure others too (you know, if you must curse, there's a time and a place for everything - I'm not perfect myself.) It's always nice to see a new face on the board, especially with so many leaving now. As for advice, follow what everyone else said, I think they got most of it!

Your the third person I've come across who uses Cheers m'dears. A couple of my friends do all the time.

BTW, do you have Sky, or just BBC for Sliders?

Welcome, from the Southland. I too am fairly new, but I just read what others have to say and it's pretty easy to catch on how it's done. Everyone has been great to me. We sometimes get a crazy loon but the best thing is to ignore them. They just want attention and usually don't last long if they don't get it. Jump in any time with your ideas and opinions. We don't always agree with each other but everyone has been very respectful of others. Ask a question anytime you need to. Someone out there is bound to know the answer or know where you can find it. Again, welcome and enjoy!

I just read your member profile (I was interested to see where you live in England) and it turns out you live in the same county as county as me!! Only I live in Wokingham and you live somewhere else. Oh well, I'll stop babbling now.
