I am as dissapointed as the next Slider to see JOC leave. To top it off I
don't think I could have come up with two new characters that sound any less
appealing than the ones proposed for s5.
A business smart woman???
- What the HELL does that character description add to the cast? If I want
to see business women I'll tune into Traders (a great Cdn tv show). What does
a business knowledgeable woman lend to a show based on inter-dimensional travellers?
The idea sounds so ridiculous!!!

- What is this, 21 Jump Street? Better description than a business woman but
still pretty awful. Question! How many good young actors are out there? Answer
= Not Many.
Are the producers just plain STUPID or are they on CRACK? When making a show
you always have to keep your target audience in mind. If the people here on
this netforum represent the target audience than the producers missed by a mile
and the show's ratings will suffer. If the target audience is not us, but instead
the 90210 viewers than I'm saying goodbye and good riddence early on in s5.
Any way you slice this cake the end result is that Sliders' ratings are going
to tank next year. So even though we, the true fans are being hurt the producers
and others that have a vested interest in the show are the ones that are going
to get hurt the most (in their bank accounts and deservedly so).

For me this is the last season of Sliders! I'm going to enjoy the rest of
this year to its fullest.
Next year I'll turn on (if Canada gets it) the new Sliders show and either
say yes it's worth my time. Or, I'll say go to hell all of you bastards that
have screwed up this once great show, cya!
