Derricks CD a good idea

Would anyone else love to have a CD of Cleavant Derricks doing Motown or Gospel? I know I would, and I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not he has done recording in the past. I am actually considering writing him and asking him to make a CD. I think it would be a hit. With all the spare time due to the short Sliders season, he could do it. And hey, if Kari Wuhrer can do it (and she isn't a great singer by any means), so could Cleavant. What do ya think?

I would certainly be the first kid on my block to buy a Cleavant Derricks CD, so such a thing would get my full fledged support. I wish he would sing some songs that he did on the show, but if he doesn't (due to copyright problems, etc.), that would be OK, too. Should we start a campaign or something?

I would be more than willing to participate in a campaign. If I can get Cleavant in my CD player as a result, I'm all for it. If there are enough people willing to write him in support of a recording project, I think it would work. I also would like to hear the songs from Sliders, like the Spinning Topps tunes, Amazing Grace, The National Anthem, and the song from Asylum. I think a campaign is in order. If anyone is willing to participate, post here. Tf has Cleavant's fanmail address, and Lexie (if she still visits here) is his neighbor, so she could talk to him personally. We can also post a message on the MCA boards (old and new) for supporters (and Lexie visits that board more often I think). If this campaign works, I think we should do another one to let him grow back his stache. I know originally the Kromaggs supposedly shaved Remmy, but did they also make him permanently unable to grow facial hair or what?

Just for kicks, how about having a duet with William Shatner on Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds? What do ya think? Hey, put those guns down, I was only kidding......
