Sliders Tragedy - an episode idea (SPLR)

Keith Damron, in his chat, said he wasn't sure whether or not Sabrina would return as Wade in a guest starring role. If she did, this is how I think it should go in concordance with the developments this season and early next season:

Wade, having escaped from the Kromagg breeding camp and living on an alternate earth that is relatively normal and not invaded by the Kromaggs, sees the four Sliders emerge from a newly opened vortex. She only recognizes Maggie and Remmy, but the other two are strange to her, and she wonders whether this is her Remmy and the Maggie she knows, or only doubles. She decides to find out as much about these Sliders as she can. In disguise, or perhaps under the cover of a hooded jacket or something, she follows them and listens in on their conversations. She learns about the whole Quinn merging thing and thinks that this is possibly her Quinn, and she also considers the probability that another set of sliders picked up a Maggie double, which of course is virtually nil. When she hears her name mentioned in the conversation, she knows these are her Sliders, in some form anyway, and she has to approach them, but not until the right time. She follows them to the Chandler Hotel. The Sliders check in and Mallory and Maggie decide to take a walk in the park while Remmy and Melissa just chill out in the room. They have plenty of time on this earth, and there is no impeding danger (we haven't seen that in a while, eh?), so the Sliders see this as a perfect opportunity for a much needed break. Since Wade has loved Quinn for so long (and still does), absence has only made her heart grow fonder. She decides to follow Mallory and Maggie. The two chat on the way, just talking about how nice it is to have a break, maybe reminiscing about past slides. When they arrive at the park, they find it not unlike the one on Earth Prime, so they order a pretzel from the stand and sit down on a park bench. Wade observes from behind a nearby tree. Mallory and Maggie continue talking, but not loud enough for Wade to hear. Mallory says something that makes Maggie laugh, and they both smile at each other and slowly kiss. Pretty soon they are making out.

Okay, now we come to a fork in the path. I see three endings that I would like to use, but I can't decide which one would be best.

First Ending
Wade is heartbroken. She sees that the Sliders have moved on and forgotten about her. She says a final goodbye under her breath, maybe saying something like "Why did this have to happen?!", turns around, half in sadness and half in anger, and walks away with [real] tears in her eyes, never to be seen by our Sliders again. Perhaps there could be a [optional] scene at the end in her room/apartment. She walks in and slams the door, tears in her eyes still. She is greeted by a familiar dog who runs to her as she comes in. "Well, Henry," she says, "I guess what they say is right. You never can go home again."

Second Ending
Wade is heartbroken and angry at the same time. She hates Maggie, and she is furious toward Mallory. As far as she is concerned, there is nothing left for her here. She is about to turn around and leave when she sees the timer on the bench beside Mallory, who is visibly occupied at the moment. Wade walks up to the bench, grabs the timer, and slides on her own, resolved to find the real Earth Prime. Our Sliders, as a result, are forced to construct a new timer from scratch.

Third Ending
Wade, overcome with emotion, throws off her disguise/jacket and just clobbers Maggie. She demands an explanation for what has happened. Maggie and Mallory, surprised (but not as visibly surprised as you'd think they'd be), explain everything, about Quinn's alien status, Colin, their many run-ins with the Kromaggs and the hope that they would soon defeat the Maggs with the help of Quinn's parents. Mallory and Maggie even lie and say they've been looking for Wade ever since they broke Remmy out of the camp. They explain the amalgam formation, how they met Melissa and she joined them in Sliding to find her homeworld. And then they beg Wade to join them Sliding again. After giving it some thought, Wade says to them, "This is my home now. I have been living here for quite some time, and there is nothing for me back on Earth Prime. I can see you all have moved on and forgotten about me, so I think it would be best if I stayed behind. Mallory, I know you said you are part Quinn, but I don't see Quinn in you at all. Not my Quinn, at least. And Maggie, try though I may, I can't find it in myself to like you. I never have and I never will. And I can see that both of you are happy without me anyway, and If I did come along, I would be like a third wheel. I can't do that. The only thing going for me if I was to slide with you again is Remmy, and I don't even know what he is like anymore. However, I would like to see him before you go."
Mallory, Maggie, and Wade go back to the Chandler Hotel, where in their room Remmy and Melissa are watching television (and that IS all they are doing). Mallory and Maggie come in and Mallory says, "Remmy, there's someone here to see you." Mallory and Maggie move apart and between them steps Wade into the room.
Rembrandt is awestruck. "My God. Wade? Is it really you?" He gets up with tears in his eyes. Wade runs to him and throws her arms around him, giving him a kiss. "Remmy, when we were separated by the Kromaggs on our home world, I tought I would never see you again! And when they shipped me off to that...camp, I..."
Remmy interrupts, "It's okay, baby. It's all over now. Those Kromaggots aren't going to hurt you anymore."
To make a long story even LONGER, the Sliders and Wade spend their remaining time together, and Wade doesn't change her mind about staying. There is an emotional goodbye at the end with hugs and kisses, the last and most emotional of which, of course, is between Wade and Rembrandt. fade out, roll credits.

So what do y'all think? Of course this is not really an all-out fan fic, it's just a story idea - a rough sketch. Which ending do you like? And SL4ever, you have my permission to turn this into a full-fledged fan fic if you want to. So anyway, this post is too long as it is, so I won't wasye anymore space. I do want to know what you all think.

Hmm..which ending??? all were great..
The first is a real tearjerker, really like it and the line at the end is perfect :)

The second was great also but if she's gonna steal the timer, they should know that she did it...and then that puts Remmy out too, I don't know if Wade would do that.

The third is awesome also-that's probably the most realistic because then Wade can interact with them ...

I think I like the first ending the best. At least the viewers would know what happened to her. Even though I have only seen a couple of eps with her I don't think it would be the same to have her interact with them since Quinn (real Quinn) will be gone. And well, from the way they have written the characters so far this year, only Remmy would care if she came back anyway. Too bad they couldn't have wrapped up that storyline this year and had her and Quinn go off together somehow.

But I have to go with Mychand, the first option seems like the
best one. Having Wade take the timer and leave them behind just
seems a lot more vindictive than I would like to think of her as
being (although it *would* be rather poetic justice, now that I
think about it!). And having her actually speak to them only to
have them leave her behind once again could really be awfully
heartwrenching. But her deciding on her own that they've moved
on and she's made her own life now would be sad but not really
unbearable and then at least there would be closure.

Thanks for sharing, QBall79. Now if we can just get TPTB to
listen to you!

Great storys !

My chose is the first or the third story.
The first ending is very sad but I think we don`t know how it will be really end. Maybe some times later she will be very happy for the rest of her live !?
But we don`t know because your writing will end at the sad station of her live and so I chose the third one.
Hey, its Christmas ! And hey, I love Wade ! She meets Remmy again and she knows now that there is one of the old Slider which loves her up to time. And she knowes now too, that the real Quinn, her Quinn, never would like a relationship with Maggie ! ( Ok I know,its my interpretation because I hate the thought that the real Quinn and Maggie fall in love ARGGGGGGGG )

Hey, QBall79 it`s funny ! Today I wrote my Christmas-story from Sliders on the bboard and then I saw that you wrote one a day before. Nice to see that there are more peoples outside with the same interest as I.

I pictured a more happy ending. I like some of the things from ending three, but not all of it.
My ending-

Wade sees them making out and decides to go back to the Chandler. She finds Remmy and Melissa and the have a heart felt reunion. Remmy fills her in about everything and she realizes that that is not her real Quinn and she forgives Mallory and Maggie. Mallory and Maggie return and find Wade. Another reunion ensues and they all sit together and talk about their lives. Then Mallory realizes that they are almost out of time and they ask if Wade wants to go with them. She says no because this is her home now. They say that after everything is resolved they will come back to see her. They say goodbye and slide. Wade is left behind and is crying.

Now, on a perfect world, Wade would go with them and become a regular on the show. They would also eventually find their Prof. alive and well on the "2 Prof. world" (can't remember the title of that episode right off hand) and they all find Earth Prime. Mallory becomes 2 people again, Quinn and whoever the other is. Colin finds his way to Earth Prime from wherever he is and they all live happily ever after on earth prime.
This would be great! Oh well....

That was a really good idea im new by the way but i have been a die ahrd fan since the originals i think it would be a great idea to have her come back and i particularly like the last ending she did always have a short temper but it would show how much she truly cared for the sliders

I would choose number 3. It's seems like the most plausible ending...plus Maggie get clobbered in the process - Hey, I'm all for that. Anyway, these ending ideas were great. Thanks for sharing them with the board. :-)

Was that at the very LEAST, Rembrandt should have a very emotional scene with Wade, since he's never stopped caring about her. It would be good if one of the old regular writers could write this scene, and Tracy Torme would be ideal. Anyway, good ideas all, but I doubt the writers will give us that much closure. Guess I'm an eternal cynic (or realist, whichever way you want to look at it).

The third is the best one I think. Rembrandt should have more action on this one but Melissa is almost unmentioned. I don't know if it is long enough for an episode, it might be.
