How
did the capping go?
Date: 06/21/2001
From: Real_Slider
I made it there for part of an episode or two (I think Prince of Slides
and As Time Goes By) and got a few caps in. Overall, how did it go?
Any highlights to share?

I was only there for 'Greatfellas', but I gotta say that Blinker's expansion
on the "Quinntum Leap" concept was pretty damn hilarious.
"His only guide on this journey is another Quinn that only Quinn
can see and hear."

I could only stay online for part of Prince of Wails. >:-# net police
at work! Blinker, Recall317, Slider_Quinn21, and MSR were doing a bang-up
job.

I
think every oldies station uses that!

That's what ours up here in Maine uses as a tagline as well. ;)
As for the capping, it was a bit harder with these than the Creatureland
marathon, because these episodes were all good. And I was besieged with
work today at the office, so it was hard to keep my haed in the game.
All and all, the Sliders regulars did one hell of a job. Blinker, MSR,
SQ21, DMD and Real_Slider all put the big hurt on those eps. FogBoy
also jumped in with some great zingers; hope you can make more of these
in the future!
My favorite: the alley trifecta in "Fever".

We actually had an actual Colleen Mallory sighting in the middle of
"As Time Goes By"

Colleen was there? GASP! I must check my tape of that episode.
As for "Great Oldies"... they use it here in St. Louis, too.
Sheesh.

3WS! That's the name of our oldies station. They use that tagline in
Pittsburgh, too! Guess it's just the universal slogan of oldies stations
ACROSS THE NATION!

Blinker!!!
Date: 06/22/2001
From: MissingSliderRyan
Blinker:
"Theorizing that one could time-travel within his own doubles,
Quinn Mallory stepped into the Quinntum Leap Accelerator..."
Blinker:
"He awoke to find himself trapped in the present, facing mirror
images that *were* his own and driven by an unknown force to bed every
chick of the week."
Blinker:
"His only guide on this journey is another Quinn, who appears in
the form of a hologram that only Quinn can see and hear."
Blinker:
And so Quinn leaps from life to life, occasionally setting stuff right...
but *always* hoping the next double whose body he leaps into will be
his own."
Blinker:
"In other words, he's really got the hots for Logan."
MissingSliderRyan:
Stepping into the Quinntum accelerator, Quinn vanishes. Leaping from
person to person in search of the perfect Chick of the Week.
Blinker, that set of caps ruled! :-D

FogBoy,
KXMO?

FogBoy, are you talking about KXMO? I live near St. Louis and listen
to KXMO which also uses "Good times, Great Oldies".

LOL!

I wasn't expecting the Oldies thing to spark such a discussion! I'm
pretty sure every oldies station uses that slogan. At least every oldies
station I've ever listened to has.
If I owned an oldies station, I'd have to change it just to be different.
Something like, "Good times, even BETTER oldies," or "Old
Times, even OLDER oldies."
