I have no idea if there are enough people around who:
1) Have any interest in Roleplaying Games in general and a Sliders
one in particular...
2) I haven’t personally alienated yet...
3) Have the time for such a thing. (though the way I am envisioning
things, it will be flexible enough to fit everyone’s schedules)
But the only way to find out is to ask. I’ve completed a general
story (the players themselves will tell the final story by their actions
and successes or failures) and am adapting the Star Trek TNG roleplaying
engine so all I need now are enough players.
The Story: The Labyrinth
This is an action story. Quinn, Arturo, Wade, and Remmy arrive inside
a metal hallway stretching at least a hundred yards in either direction.
Many offshoot hallways are visible. They quickly determine that the
alloy used in the walls, floors, and ceiling adversely affects the timer
so it is no longer working. They have no idea how long they have before
their time runs out and they cannot activate a vortex unless they escape
the Labyrinth.
Unbeknownst to them (but beknownst to you guys since I’m telling
you) other Sliders have arrived and not been able to find their way
out in time and so still roam the hallways. (implying there are food
and water sources)
Call the Sliders escape the Labyrinth, and the other inhabitants, in
time?
The Characters (that are playable, anyway):
Good
Remmy
Quinn
Arturo
Wade
Bennish
Wing
Evil
Logan
Evil Maggie
Colonel Rickman
Kytill the Kromagg
Kollock the Kromagg
(you can change Maggs names to something less lame if you like)
Materials needed to play:
Paper for sketching the maze (grid paper is best)
Email (IM is optional)
Rules and whatnot will be provided ahead of time. As I said, I’m
basically taking what I want from the STTNG game so if you’ve
ever played that it will be familiar to you. The game will either be
played in a chat room if we can get everyone together at once or via
email or both.
So if you’re interested, reply with which character you wish
to play. :-P
PS. This is going to be a wide open game. If you want to be evil but
worry about the Narrator playing favorites, perish the thought. If Wade’s
head gets cut off, it gets cut off. We’ll toss it in a fishbowl
and move on.
