A few things I wanted to say for one reason or another:
1) Mychand told me that she is not going to contribute her part of the story. In fact, she will likely never look at this board again. I do not know the intentions of 1013shan, who is now next. Then it would fall on me to finish the story. I was tempted to drop out as well, but I think the people who put creative effort into the story deserve a conclusion. So I intend to give them a great finale, and at least end the story on a positive note. So, 1013shan, if you can either announce your intentions or go ahead and post your portion, we can wrap this up.
2) The REAL reason some people post that they are leaving (as opposed to just slinking off) is an effort to change things for the rest of the people here, not an attempt for a dramatic ego boast. On the MST3K board, a poster got the nickname "Manipulative Drama Queen" because she posted that she was leaving, only to return after only a week because she got so many e-mails asking her to not leave the board. But that was not her intention for posting the good bye post. I know it is hard for egomaniacs like Sir-Handles-A-Lot to understand this, but sometimes it does feel good to be wanted, and that doesn't mean that a person goes looking for that kind of show of support. The accusation that TM and Mychand made their posts to garner ego gratification is vile. Has either one of these posters ever come across as ego freaks? Not to me.
3) These is for the precious people who might be tempted to comment that here I go wasting another post about something that doesn't matter. These people like to make sarcastic comments like "more people reply and post about non-related stuff like this than reply-post about Sliders stuff." They are being intentionally sly. Dozens, if not more, people stop by the board every day ONLY to read the Sliders stuff. They do not even have handles. Two friends of mine are this way. They were the ones who mentioned the Sci-Fi webpage to me in the first place. More people travel through this board on any given day than any of us will ever know. I read the board for two weeks before I got a handle. I am sure that there are many more. The point is that I have no problem posting this because sometimes these things have to be said. And the board is still 90% Sliders related, and most people only read the Sliders related topics, despite the opinions of the intentionally blind. So this IS worth saying, and I am saying it to the people personally affected.
4) Finally, this is for the extra precious Sir-Handles-A-Lot. There are two boards in this very same Dominion that might be helpful to you. One is called "Personals" where you might find a friend to talk to you. The other is called "Left Field" or something like that. It is for very weird people, and you would feel at home there. Try them out, and if you forget how to get back here, all I can say is "Darn."

My intentions: i will post my part of the story as soon as I get home from work today..tonight I have to work until 7:00EST (which really means about 8:30 soooo it may be a little late but I'll be there..:)

I agree with most of your points, SLfever. I do have two differences with things you mentioned in your lengthy reply to Twizzler, who you believe is Handles-a-lot.
First, I think that a lot of people were gone or outside all weekend, especially yesterday, so they did not see the comments about Mc and Tm, so I do not think it was an intentional oversight, as you seem to suggest. I know that I did not check the internet at all this weekend. So give them a chance.
Second, I do not think, as you suggest in that reply, that Handleboy is a teenager being bullied around who seeks release by "talking smack" in the net. I think he is an embittered old man with a prostate the size of a Florida grapefruit who is made as hell at the world.

Thank you. Your support is very much appreciated and I'm glad you're trying to get support from others as well. It would certainly be nice to hear from the regulars of the board, but it isn't really necessary. I was too emotional and I know that now. The RealSliders of this board accepting that without making derisive comments is not very likely and I should have expected it. As you've already pointed out, I didn't do this just to give the old ego a boost, as most people who know me know, my ego left for a healthier individual years ago :). I nearly posted an LOL response to the person who called me an egomaniac, but decided to ignore them instead. I'm hoping to see you around the board and by the way, I owe you one and I'm not one to forget about it.

you're right SL4ever.. but thedisciple is also right..the only reason I don't respond to those negative postersis because their comments are ridiculous so why egg them on..but i didn't take into account that I should probably try to offer support to the "regular" that he is attacking. I really dismiss the nonsense in my mind, but I guess if i were the one being attacked I'd like a show of support..
As I see it we've got a double edged sword..if we show support for our friends we risk fueling the fire of the attacker and giving them creedance by the fact that we would bother to respond.... BUT.... if we don't post support of our friend, the "regular" then feels bad and is likely to leave --and ironically we will be stuck with a board full of garbage....what to do what to doo...is SL4ever right???is the disciple???I dont know
