Since Sliders first aired on March 22, 1995, it has gone through many
changes and endured many hard ships. Let's start at the beginning.
First, the story:
Sliders began with Quinn, Wade, Arturo, and Remmy sliding to many parallel
earths that all had strange alternate histories. As they slid on,
the worlds became more science fiction. They met a race of villians,
constantly flirted with death and danger, and still moved on. At
one point, they may have lost a dear friend, only to be replaced
by his double. They then discovered that this man had an incurable
disease. Later, this man was killed saving Quinn, and so the Sliders
gained a new team mate. They then lost another Slider, discovered
that Earth Prime was infested with Kromaggs, and that Quinn was from
another earth and had a brother. They found hsi brother, and he became
another Slider. As they moved on, they lost Colin and Quinn was joined
with his double. They gain two new Sliders and begin searching for
Remmy's home. It then ends, with a cliffhanger, leaving the show
open...
Second, the technical:
We have lost four actors. We have lost the creator. We have gained
a new producer, and had some horrible episodes. The story lines went
from great, to good, to bad, to good again.
I think that, overall, no show has gone through as many changes as
Sldiers has. Yet, through all of them, it managed to keep most of its
fans. I think this is the greatest show ever created. Yes, it has given
us some bad times, but has had many great times. I think that Sliders
has one of the best groups of fans for a television show, ever!
