I have seen posts often about building the original timer, but here's my 0.02. You don't have to use a Motorola series 550 cell phone. If there's a Wal-Mart near you, go to the kids section and you will see, among the toys, that they carry about 4 different brands of toy cell phones, and they are cast from the very same mold as the 550. Some of them are coloured, pink or blue or whatever, but if you are building a timer the best route to go is just spray paint the thing.In fact, I'd recommend the toy phone over an actual 550 because it is hollow and easier to cut. Be inventive! ;)
