I would like to begin this post with an apology to Danbagel. Though he had caused problems here...he was not Daniel_2. Even though at the time I (and the rest of us) were justified in believing so, I would like to apologize for wrongly accussing him.

By his actions further up board, Exec is apparently heating up again on his own...preparing for a new onslaught against me. So, I want to put an end to this handle before it pops up again.

I was e-mailed not long ago by danbagel. Though we still have a disdain for each other, he wanted to let me know that it was not he who posted under the handle Daniel_2 (a person who came on the board after everything had calmed down and posted attack messages aimed directly at me trying to stir it up again). In fact, danbagel provided e-mail proof of who Daniel_2 was....Executive. He did this by sharing 10 e-mail messages of a conversation that was between he and Exec discussing Exec's plans for Daniel_2. The messages included Exec's explanation that he planned the attacks on the weekend for what he felt was maximum effect (more readers)...the messages explain exactly what Exec changed in his writing style (i.e. TF to T.F.)...they explain how Exec took to the claim he was The_Critic to avoid suspicion (the *real* The_Critic now posts here under The_Cynic)...and the messages go on to explain Exec's further plans...including the fact that he never plans to leave me alone no matter what the board says or what I do....that he wanted danbagel to join him in a board wide campaign of multiple handles aimed at attacking me (danbagel refused)...and also in the e-mails is the repeated refusals by Executive to clear Danbagel's name after fashioning the Daniel_2 posts appear to be from Danbagel (which is why bagel e-mailed me...enemy of my enemy is my friend, and so on). My personal favorite was Executive's quote, "Some of us know how to hold a grudge".

If you need copies of the proof, I will provide. Just e-mail me, and I will forward the messages to you. I'm not posting them here though...there is no reason to flood the board. But as for any claims that Exec might make of the e-mails being fraudulent...he just confirmed how I got my info in his own words (which helped me verify the truthfulness of danbagel's forwardings - something I've been wondering about since he e-mailed me):

In that above posting, Exec even refers back to his own work as Daniel_2.

This is not to sway board opinion...I meant what I said before, I don't care what you believe. If you want to encourage someone like him to be here...that's your little red wagon and you're getting what you ask for. The purpose of this post is to put the truth out there. And now you have it.

I've only been on this board for about two weeks and it seems I spend half my time on this board trying to avoid reading flames. It's such an absolute waste of time. Please stop even talking about it. Proof? The truth? These are COMPUTER MESSAGES! Not secret government coverups. Don't get me wrong, I'm not attacking you personally, just all of this in general.

I can understand wanting to correct information in a reply format for something they've just written about. But do we need a new article posted just for this stuff?

Please don't take this personally, I know many people have been involved, but I've been watching the posts for a few weeks now & IMHO this whole thing of digs here & there, followed by explanations, finger pointing regarding extra handles, expecting &/or demanding that people take sides, etc. is getting OLD. I'm not commenting on who is the keeper of the truth; that is not my point. I doubt that wounds will really be healed by more & more posts that say so & so's right, and I don't expect that a public apology will come from any side. My point is that this is not the place for it. I'm not saying ignore it, but simply take it outside fellas. My comments are directed to all readers on this BB.

I for one read the posts in sequence & get tired of wading through this stuff. I'm not saying that it's only TF that's responsible. Now, I'm seeing other people doing to the same thing, e.g. talking about banning certain people. As a new sliders fan & BB participant, this is really discouraging. I expect maturity from the veterans to set a good example for younger participants. I've been ignoring it, hoping it will go away, but it seems to keep popping up. News of Sliders civil war has even popped up on other Dominion BB's. This can't be good for Sliders discussions and any hopes of growing the Sliders community. :(

(I realize I'm guilty of perpetuating this situation myself by even commenting on it, but I'd like to think that we can put an end to this. I've held back on putting in my 2 cents before because I didn't want to contribute to the escalation. Now, I'm hoping I won't become a target for saying this, but here goes...)

I'D LIKE TO REQUEST A MORATORIUM ON THIS WHOLE KIND OF THING, NOT DIRECTED JUST AT TF & EXEC, BUT EVERYONE & ANYONE WHO'S THINKING OF FUELING THIS OR ANY OTHER FEUDS ON THIS BB.

If you want to inform your buddies or confront your opponent, why not do it by email instead of posting here? With all the posts that have been dedicated to this, we could have just setup another BB just for accusations & character defamation & defense. BOTTOM LINE: PLEASE CONFRONT YOUR OPPONENT DIRECTLY & GAIN YOUR ALLIES BY SOME OTHER MEANS THAN THIS PUBLIC BB WHICH SHOULD BE DEDICATED TO SCI-FI & SLIDERS DISCUSSIONS.

Now you are conspiring with Danbagel against me! Are you so dumb to not realize that he was pissed at you as he stated from the same reason as Mr. Mallory (Ryan) regarding the press kit incident? They both proved you a thief and you denied that. Snort had problems with you too on other matters going way back, and he aired them as well during that time. It was all a result of you opening "Pandora's box" with your lengthy temper tantrum in an earlier thread a few weeks back. I don't deny that Danbagel has E-mailed me in the past to express his wanting to get revenge against you but this wasn't my idea. Clearly he engineered it, and he had a change of heart and decided to pin the blame on me by writing an e-mail to you in my name. First of all, if I really wanted to slam you to that extent (which is not my style anyway) I would use my one and only handle -- Executive. But I've only started a mere 5% of the fights between us. This thread was one of your 95%. This is my last post on this topic. Please don't waste any more of the board's time on this nonsense.

With the new Netscape 4.0 installed some of the terminals here CAN cut and paste. I experimented with the November * 6 * apology post by Flux to the people of the MCA NetForum. It pasted perfectly onto the Dominion. Of course, I didn't want to post with my real handle. So for the first time ever I did a TF and created a new alias!

Anything posted by Daniel2 on the Dominion will be me. As I'm writing this my new password hasn't been verified (I even used a phony Hotmail address -- thecritic@hotmail.com.

Well, I got the ball rolling! As Daniel_2 I posted four anti-Flux
posts. Three of them are Flux in his own words --- uncut and
uninterrupted. All of them show his argumentative nature. The 4th is
by SpaceTime, who in 1998 publically pointed out what a jerkoff Daniel is AND how he corrected an entire post of erroneous info that Flux wrote about David Peckinpah (still trying to find the original and Flux's retraction posts but no luck -- this is the next best thing!!!)

SpaceTime no longer considers himself Flux's enemy (and fortunately
he doesn't hate me either), but some of us are much better at holding grudges! ;-)

Be sure to read through some LONG messages with topics #5173 ("A Funny Post for the Whole Board"), followed closely by the others which all have TF's name in the title: #5181, 5184, and 5186.

I cut and pasting them all on Saturday (with new intros by my first -- and last alter ego) --- perfect for a massive weekend reading by a number of users!!

How can you say I sounded like you? I was posting like I always do,
with just a few minor changes in text (like typing T.F. instead of TF and "Temp. Flux" instead of "Flux"). By putting down myself I was
trying to convey that it was in fact "The Critic", since he was 50
times rougher on me than I was on Flux in re-posting anti-Exec
messages on the TV GUIDE Sliders board back in July 1998. Daniel was
obviously convinced that The Critic was Daniel_2, which I expected. I didn't think he would take it a step furthur and accuse you but
that's how warped he is...

I'm sorry it didn't work out also, but at least it was fun to see Flux have to defend himself by telling the "whole" story (at least his side of it) in each of the 4 posts!!

Now you know why I told you not to announce you were leaving. I don't know how to convince anyone that it wasn't you who posted those anti-Flux messages. If I make the attempt to clear your name, they will think I did it --- which means we're back to Square One!

In my past bouts with Temporal Flux on just The Dominion alone I had
gotten a total of 3 E-mails -- from 3 different people who weren't
taking sides, they just wanted my take on the feud. Now you know why I don't give my E-mail address away on any board that Daniel frequents!

As for the handle "Daniel_2" I picked it because (A) The_Critic was
already being used and (B) I thought it was cute to parody Temporal
Flux's real name. The last thing I was expecting was that people would think that "Daniel = Danbagel"... Yet it was Flux himself that
pointed that out. In fact, if he didn't make such a stink over the
Spoiler Controversy back in October (when I posted my reviews to
episodes that wouldn't be seen here in the U.S. until months later)
NOBODY would have come down on me. In fact, when about 5 people did I relented and apologized and decided to start putting (SP) as spoiler warnings.

Just remember that I pointed out "The Critic" as being the former
handle for Daniel_2. Let's not forget that "Mr. Mallory" (real name
is Ryan -- although I never E-mailed him) and "Snort" (who has been
around The Dominion since before I got there) also flamed TF just last week yet nobody accused them. So why danbagel???

By the way, if you don't mind my asking, why didn't you post on The
Dominion for all of these months? Up until recently I missed seeing
the "danbagel" name and your SLIDERS comments.

Thanks for the laughs, Ex. As expected, when presented with the
evidence of your lies, you resort to wild accusations with NO proof
or even circumstantial evidence. You also never addressed any of the evidence against you. Now you've gone from encouraging danbagel
to pose as me to accusing danbagel of actually BEING me! LOL.
I'd encourage anyone else who reads this to get the other e-mails
from TF which show how Executive developed an even longer yellow
stripe down his back when Danbagel was accused of being Daniel 2
and asked Executive to clear it up. It's funny seeing how Ex
completely turns chicken and essentially says "You're on your own
now." Nice way to support your friends... Now you're going as
far as accusing Danbagel of being Daniel 2 as well! That takes
