This update brings posts by Callie21V, Chaser9, CinnamonSpiceGirl, HurriKain,
JesseMallory, JorgeCis, Recall317, SL4ever and The_Cynic. Also, I've
started posting the script from Into the Mystic. I'd hoped to include
more new content in this update, but I've been busy giving the site
a facelift. I hope you like it.
Thanks to Blinker, Recall317 and CinnamonSpiceGuy for nominating posts.
I asked Blinker for a few posts from specific posters, and he came through
in spades. He and SpaceTime have sent a slew of links my way, so those
should start appearing soon.
Hall of fame poll results:
"Who was most responsible for making Sliders great?"
Tracy Tormé 10 (71%)
Robert Weiss 2 (14%)
David Peckinpah 0 (0%)
Jerry O'Connell 0 (0%)
Sabrina Lloyd 1 (7%)
John Rhys-Davies 1 (7%)
Clevant Derricks 0 (0%)
Charlie O'Connell 0 (0%)
Robert Floyd 0 (0%)
Tembi Locke 0 (0%)
Voter comments:
1. Torme...narrowly beating out Charlie O'Connell and Tembi Locke.
(rolls eyes)
2. Torme WAS Sliders. Its just too bad he was forced to leave it, with
so many great ideas left in his mind...
3. The direction and writing of Tormé are what made the show
a cult hit, but I think JRD is a close second. He's a joy to watch and
managed to elevate the weaker scripts and canonize the stronger ones.
Had he been given more creative control, you'd have seen a far superior
third season once Tormé departed.

The new poll question:
Why do you think Sliders was pulled completely from SciFi's lineup?
SciFi dropped it temporarily.
SciFi let the rights expire.
SciFi lost the rights to another network.
There's a movie in the works.
