SYNTHIA: Hitherto, third season episodes were a lot like Star Trek movies: even ones good, odd ones various flavours of suck. Unfortunately, as with Trek, when this pattern finally broke, it did so for the worse.
BLINKER: So what's your title, "Finally Breaking Even?"
SYNTHIA: I was thinking of "I Need a Drink Too," but sure.
BLINKER: Well, I'm going with "Desert Sands." [TM glares at him] Er, "Dry Road." [slider75 glares at him] Er, "Blood and Sand." [Spanish author Vicente Blasco Ibαρez (18671928) glares at him] Oh fine, "Just Deserts." [everyone who was hoping for a non-lame title glares at him]
SYNTHIA: And now, the part where we call upon the audience. What would *you* call "Desert Storm"? It's your call, so call now... but we're calling it a week.

<glares at BT for no reason at all>
If Peck had wanted to follow up on the Arturo's illness plotline (which he obviously did not) he would have had an actually fitting movie rip-off episode title that matched the film that was receiving an, ahem, homage.
David Peckinpah: The old guy's first name was Max?!? I always thought it was Professor.
They could have even made the story a two parter, with the second episode titled (of course): "Sick Max: Beyond Sliderdome." I don't know what a Sliderdome is exactly, but...
Peck: It was the original conception of the SlideCage. I'm the one who came up with that idea, not that hack Zicree.
Oh, brother.
JOC: You rang? <nudges COC awake>

Oh, the choice words available.
They could have paid homage to the Soup Dragons and named it "Devin Thing."
Soup Dragons.
Soup Dragonslide anyone?

When you know you'll need MacGyver

BT is partial to Murdock because of his apparent immortality... survived countless explosions, falling from a cliff, a firey death in a mineshaft... need I say more?
... stuck in the desert with cacti around. Mac's going to use his Swiss Army knife to open a cactus for the water and use it as a battery to power up the rescue radio.
Let's see...
Desert Rose
COWS, COWS, Everywhere...
COWS: 6, Wade: 0
Smell what Arturo's Cooking
Indigestion, my man, Indigestion
Don't hurt me... I'm already lame. :-P

I wanted to do a Raiders homage title but Lost City sounded lame, even if was accurate. This ties in the water theme.
